If you get this bike. You will not be disappointed. I’ve been riding my dads 2020 and it’s a blast. I’ve got a CBR650R and compared to this it’s pretty lame. My bike is still fun but not torquey at all compared to the street triple. And the street triple you feel like your racing and ready to go at any RPM where with mine it’s only really actually fun and pulls in higher RPMs.

The horn is in the proper position where your thumb naturally rests near it, unlike Hondas where the horn is above the turn signals and you have to look down to find it.
@kleinbottled793 жыл бұрын
Yeah Honda are the only ones that switch the two that I'm aware of. Thing is, after riding one for a while, I think Honda are on to something. In 3+ years of riding in Southern California, I've used my horn exactly once and in retrospect it was pointless. Pulling in the clutch and revving my motor is significantly louder anyways. The turn signals, however, get used constantly. Having your thumb rest naturally near the blinkers is nice, once you get used to it.

@@coastalrider1155 I'm not a pilot so it's difficult to feel the difference between the Ohlins on the RS and Showa rear shock on the R. The TFT dashboard is beautiful but unfortunately the rev counter is difficult to read on the RS. Despite a bit less power, the torque is even a little bit more consistent at the middle range on the R and about the choice of tyres, the Supercorsa on the RS are better than the Diablo Rosso 3 on the R but the Diablo will last about twice as long. Finally, I'm doing some renovation at home so, with the difference of price, I can by a few stuff. 😉

Certainly don't need anything bigger or more powerful on the road. Perfect bike BUT expensive servicing...

Is seat high enough and pegs low enough for someone 6 foot not to be cramped

I am a average for a woman (5’5), and I can tip toe the R ok. Would I lose out on getting the LRH? I plan on the occasional track day, but mostly I just do street riding/commuting and mountain twisties. It’s a factory loaded bike so It should be better than just lowering the normal R right?
@Englishbikerdan3 жыл бұрын
The only downside of LRH is reduced travel suspension. It'll seem a bit firmer on the road too.

I have 2017 model seems to me new bike has less goodies ie tft etc money saving or to distance it away from the rs?
@Englishbikerdan3 жыл бұрын
But then it has the quickshifter/blipper as standard. I think it's just a cost saving excercise. I'd prefer to have the shifter than a fancy dash I don't really look at all that much but that's me.
@markbould12803 жыл бұрын
@@Englishbikerdan yes I agree ref quick shifter etc I personally think it's dated the bike with majority of bikes having tft, but am a bit of a gadget fan 👍hopefully give mine better resale value 😉. keep up the great content.

Definitely waiting for the review of the 3 versions, mostly the R vs RS as you rode the 2 already. Still haven’t decided between the 2 so it will help!
@j.h.2373 жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t the RS be the most obvious choice?
@Schpabeck3 жыл бұрын
@@j.h.237 Probably. I don’t do track days so that’s why i’m asking.
@j.h.2373 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I’d like to see myself on one of those one day too.
@Englishbikerdan3 жыл бұрын
@@j.h.237 I'd go for the R myself.

@@Englishbikerdan why the R and not the RS? Price or other factors?

As much as I like that dash, no TFT on a 2021 bike seems like a travesty, especially on that line of bike from Triumph.
