I've seen these bikes converted to a single round headlight and I must say it improves the looks (for me) tremendously. Great looking, beautiful bike with an odd headlight design. Every generation they make 'em look better, but it still looks like a predatory insect; Which does look 'cool,' but not pretty.

If you get this bike. You will not be disappointed. I’ve been riding my dads 2020 and it’s a blast. I’ve got a CBR650R and compared to this it’s pretty lame. My bike is still fun but not torquey at all compared to the street triple. And the street triple you feel like your racing and ready to go at any RPM where with mine it’s only really actually fun and pulls in higher RPMs.

Bought my 2022 R 3 weeks ago and have managed to already blow past the first maintenance. Coming from a long line of cruisers, all Indian, this bike is a whole different level of badassary. I was going to get an Indian FTR but I wanted to try a bike from across the pond and I haven't been disappointed at all! It's hard being nice to it until I'm past the final RPM break-in recommendation. This bike just screams light speed.

Test rode the RS version today in Paris and totally agree about the mirrors! I can filter better on my GS1250. This bike is my mo-biking restart after 15 years of pause, before that on 4 Zylinder 1000ccm sport bikes. The horn is in the proper position where your thumb naturally rests near it, unlike Hondas where the horn is above the turn signals and you have to look down to find it.
@kleinbottled79
@kleinbottled79 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah Honda are the only ones that switch the two that I'm aware of. Thing is, after riding one for a while, I think Honda are on to something. In 3+ years of riding in Southern California, I've used my horn exactly once and in retrospect it was pointless. Pulling in the clutch and revving my motor is significantly louder anyways. The turn signals, however, get used constantly. Having your thumb rest naturally near the blinkers is nice, once you get used to it.

Cracking bike. These are meant to be a better road bike than the RS due to more torque being lower in the rev range. I for one favour the move away from the TFT as Triumph owners have had issues with them failing. This would definitely put me of buying a street triple with a TFT second hand.

The Street Triple is perfectly fine as a one bike does it all, unless you want to go off road anyway! I had this one for 2 weeks and rode it everywhere including commuting. No problems at all. I've a 2020 Street triple R, I was gonna upgrade my 2018 R for the 2020 RS and after riding it ,it was definitely an improvement on the original RS and I was about to go for it when the dealer asked if I wanted to ride the new R first, thankfully I did and still found the R a better road bike with still better mid range, I do miss the TFT but the two way quickshifter more than makes up for it ,I also fitted bar end mirrors and a seat cowl.

Interestingly, the new RS makes 2NM more torque 50 rpm lower than the R. So the RS now has more power and torque and lower than the R. I guess they really wanted the RS to be the best in all areas.

@@coastalrider1155 I'm not a pilot so it's difficult to feel the difference between the Ohlins on the RS and Showa rear shock on the R. The TFT dashboard is beautiful but unfortunately the rev counter is difficult to read on the RS. Despite a bit less power, the torque is even a little bit more consistent at the middle range on the R and about the choice of tyres, the Supercorsa on the RS are better than the Diablo Rosso 3 on the R but the Diablo will last about twice as long. Finally, I'm doing some renovation at home so, with the difference of price, I can by a few stuff. 😉

I went back to the dealer for the first oil change and asked them, also told them that the website says 3 riding modes. They have checked it and they say that’s because it haves the same dash as the triple S. Don’t know what to think of this, is the sport mode better? Do i need to take this back to the dealer and make a fuzz about it? They are nice people and the they seem very honoust.

The triple has a roar character compared with a four (GSX) or some twins. A couple of negatives, apart from the old fashioned dash. The left mirror vibrated badly. Not the right. The bike is very smooth slow and the quick shifter is outstanding. The seat is a bit slippery. I slipped into the tank every time I braked firmly. I would get it recovered immediately if I buy the bike.

Man it’s the bike I desperately want with each and every one of my sinews, but it’s too fucking expensive for me to afford. Almost decided to take a plunge with an expensive loan for a second hand one but finally decided to get a CB300R which is what I could actually afford 😅

Its for sure a nice bike it sounds a bit like ya got to wind it up a bit in the revs ta get good power would that be right I was thinking of going down this route next year maybe selling my slightly heavier bikes but not sure yet . Is it a lot more powerful than the 675 top spec one I am guessing a little more . Cheers good run there : )

The cbr1000rr is very uncomfortable for everyday use.. This is a better CHOICE by far...unless you like going 150+ theres really no point in getting a liter bike.. With that said, best wishes.. Btw I ride a gsxr750 but ive own a cbr1000rr..cheers💪🏾💪🏾

I am a average for a woman (5’5), and I can tip toe the R ok. Would I lose out on getting the LRH? I plan on the occasional track day, but mostly I just do street riding/commuting and mountain twisties. It’s a factory loaded bike so It should be better than just lowering the normal R right?
@Englishbikerdan

The only downside of LRH is reduced travel suspension. It'll seem a bit firmer on the road too.

@Englishbikerdan 3 жыл бұрын
But then it has the quickshifter/blipper as standard. I think it's just a cost saving excercise. I'd prefer to have the shifter than a fancy dash I don't really look at all that much but that's me.

@@Englishbikerdan yes I agree ref quick shifter etc I personally think it's dated the bike with majority of bikes having tft, but am a bit of a gadget fan 👍hopefully give mine better resale value 😉. keep up the great content.
