Did you find it at the dealer or did you have to order it? And, if your ordered it, how long did you have to wait?
@justinfontaine55392 жыл бұрын
I could show you other standings where KIA/Hyundai and Genesis are near the top. As far as Lexus goes it's number 1 in boredom as well. They are resting on their laurels and falling behind in many area's..

Even though I have used a spare tire only 2 times in 20 years, I still prefer to have one instead of saving some gas and room
@coben703 жыл бұрын
I needed a spare tire once but could not use it because it was deflated! LOL. You need to inflate it once a while but it is hidden and you never think about it. At least that's what I did.
@alvilla7013 жыл бұрын
@@coben70 it might sound silly but I also always keep a small compressor (about 7X6X4 inches) and jumper cable, I really like the little compressor cause I can check the tires pressure anytime and anywhere

So we took the plunge of "inventory shortage price gouging" and purchased one in February. MSRP $65,xxx. Sport-Prestige 3.5TT, you know the works. We have very much enjoyed this vehicle- 6,480 miles on it. Yesterday the "experience" changed. We were driving in our little, rural town on a 30 mph roadway when suddenly the vehicle shuddered, sputtered and the check engine light came on and started flashing at us. We lost power and the vehicle slowed. I found that the vehicle limited me to 25 mph. We pulled into the first parking lot we found and called the Hyundai dealership we purchased the car through- you might be surprised that as of March 30, 2022, only one stand-alone Genesis dealership exists in the USA. So we call the dealership and I'm pleasantly surprised that service is open on a Saturday, let alone Saturday of the 4th of July weekend. I'm promptly told that the vehicle has gone into "limp mode" (no kidding) and they do not recommend I drive it the 40 miles to the dealership (yeah, right). I asked the dealership to dispatch a tow to bring it to them and I'm told that they can send a tow, but I'm responsible for it. I question the statement since this is clearly under warranty and clearly they need to deal with this. I decline to accept (thank goodness I have AAA extended range towing). I get it towed to the dealership and, to their credit, the Hyundai/Subaru/Genesis dealership had a Subaru Outback available for me to drive until they can look at it, "sometime after the Monday holiday." I get home and log into the Genesis owner's account and see that the monitoring service has detected problems with the car- 3 of them. A prominent red engine symbol is lit up and there's a button that says DETAILS. I decide to look at what this says it's seeing wrong with the car so I click on it. Unfortunately, all the page does is spin a busy icon for several minutes until the system times out and logs me out of the account. I'm not saying I don't like the car, but this experience (and the apathy I felt from the staff in-service) really makes me miss my experiences of the past 13 years of Lexus ownership ( 209 IS350, 2013 RX350, 2015 GS350, 2019 ES350). I bet the next luxury SUV I purchase won't be another Korean Super SUV.

Got one if these about 4 months ago and just love it! Power is awsome and fun but mileage can be not great if you can't keep your foot out of it. Also, the infotainment system does come back to where you last had it and it actually comes back different for each driver setting, as well as the radio station setting.
@zBMatt2 жыл бұрын
I don't think there are any fun cars that have good mileage if you can't keep your foot off the gas. Lol.

Yeah, so what I might not win in a 1/4 mile drag race by 0.4 seconds or something vs a Mercedes. But while you’re crossing the finish line you’re THAT much closer to covering repairs out of your own pocket. I think the part about the warranty is WAY understated. For ME… that warranty makes up for any of its shortcomings.

I think Hyundai and Kia have Favorite button that you can program. So from home screen you can just hit that button once to go to your favorite station, navigate to home/work, etc.

These " influencers" need to stop talking about how getting a new car like this is next to impossible due to the chip shortage. I know it's bad for business but you will wait 6-8 months to get this car.
