Sad part is you won't see any 22 tundras at the dealership anytime soon because of chip shortage I also think they halted production on them as well I continuously check the toyota dealership where I live and they haven't had any so far toyota is actually trying to buy used toyota vehicles from people because they don't have many brand new cars on the lot they even tried to buy my sisters highlander and she works for toyota

@@dalewilm7213 I didn’t ….I put a deposit back in 1st week of December I was second in line the first guy wanted only white and since I was number 2 truck was for me and my color combo choice is exactly what I want….they did have a long list already but they will never see one anytime soon… And my dealership told me what they get is what they get can’t do no changes just happened to be in my favor with color combo lunar rock with red interior that’s what I wanted and only came with 2 cheap accessories which was tie down hooks $45 and door edge guards $150 …Im also getting the trd cast aluminum trd running boards at the dealer cost and also getting at dealer cost the trd pro rear tailgate lettering and trd air filters…I also got the bed step and maybe spray bed liner in the near future and I had a 2g mark up also I made out big time…I also got westcott design lift kit and 22x10 fuel Rebel matte blk tires nitto recon grapplers 285/55r22 a/t 👍🏻👍🏻

I see a lot of 2022 Tundra TRD Pro out there. Some in transit and some at the dealership. The prices range anywhere from $70K-100K. Maybe it's not a good idea to put down deposit since you have to wait a long time. I'm keeping an eye out for 2023 Sequoia TRD Pro and today I just saw a few transit and a few few at a dealership. Prices were areound $80K something to $100K.

I hate that Toyota put chrome on the TRD off road trims fully knowing that they're just forcing owners to spend more on color matching. Used car salesman tier tactics.

@@Wxman9123 TRD off road trims are available on models with or without chrome. The SR5 for example has body matched grill surround and bumper covers. Limited has chrome. You can get the TRD off road trims on both models as well as the 1794 I believe. I think the Platinum and Capstone do not offer the TRD off road package.

@@jeremycook9852 Wrong. SR5 w/ TRD off-road comes with chrome mustache and rear bumper inserts. Limited w/ TRD off-road is a brushed satin mustache & rear bumper inserts. The TRD Sport package gives color matched.

This new gen is a disappointment and a lemon. Especially at a price at $70k +. The American consumer is obsessed with fluff and not substance. It’s actually embarrassing. And even more embarrassing is this gen is touted as designed in America. It definitely shows. Cheap and gimmicky.

Sticker shock on all the new trucks, for sure. Still loving my ‘15 CrewMax which was $37k. I usually keep vehicles ~10 yrs, so will have to make a decision in 2-3 yrs. on whether $70-75k makes sense.

I’ll help you on that decision. The answer is NO…it does not make sense to purchase a $70k vehicle. Cars costing that much is insane. In the last 3 years, technology has not changed that drastic enough to add $15-20k to a new vehicle. I got my ‘21 Tundra Crewmax for $41k right before prices skyrocketed. I’ve had offers to purchase mine as high as $49k, but my first thought is always “what the heck can I replace it with…?”

I’m pretty sure Toyota wasn’t claiming the TRD Pro was competing with the Raptor. The Raptor is a different kind of truck so when people compare it…It’s just simply not right to do so. I have not seen any Toyota Ad going after the Raptor or TRX with this TRD Pro. I fkn love this truck. I only wish I was able to get it. To each their own….

This new Tundra looks like ass (in my opinion.) The rear end bubbling and the stamp is a wild design choice. Also, what the hell is with that massive Toyota logo on the dash over the glove box?! I am sure the drive train is amazing (as is the tech) but this thing is just flat out busted looking. Also the front bumper really needs to be paint matched -- the massive black gape is not great, either.

I just dont think it can handle the same terrain as the Raptor. Clearance is significantly lower, tires are tiny, does it have front lockers?, access to the bed seems odd. TRD Pro looks beautiful and is a step in the right direction from Toyota off road trucks, but the Raptor remains ahead. A stock Raptor has much more capability, range and applications than what I've seen here from a stock TRD Pro.

Understand Chris, as w/ everything it’s in the eye of the beholder. I happen to love it, but then I also have a Land Cruiser and a Lexus LS in the stable so am biased. Both those vehicles, in my humble opinion, are bullet-proof and I have no reason to believe this TRD Pro won’t be the same. Time will tell I suppose.
