@@ZoomZoom356 no, it wasn’t. Benchmarking is not stealing, if they simply stole it directly, it would make the exact same horsepower is the original instead of 100 more, now wouldn’t it? They took it apart to find out what types of bearings were used etc. to check reliability. Benchmarking is a universal and common practice in engineering, as Ferrari benchmarked the British Coventry Climax flat plane crank V8 racing engine prior to incorporating FPCs V8s into their cars 13 years after the Coventry was introduced, just as they benchmarked the rear engine design of the Lamborghini Mira and it’s transverse engine mounting before they incorporated this in the Ferrari Dino and the mid engine V8s successors to it that began life in the early 1970s.

So about the “fake engine noise”: it’s not a case of the exhaust being piped in through the speakers. I believe what it is is the engineers did something to tune out the unwanted frequencies that could occur from the FPC engine, and left only the pleasant frequencies. So it isn’t necessarily fake, but rather clever exhaust tuning.

Those aero bits do wonders for that rear end. So much better looking than the stock super boxy look, breaks it up really nicely. Either way, this is one of those cars where the interior and exterior looks and build quality stop mattering when you start driving the car. That's honestly the best compliment I can give this car.

@@ktb660 not really my style but definitely better than c7 on the interior. I’d still take C7 exterior over this though. The front 3/4 is awesome, the rear…well I’ve been saying since the first official photos it looks like two different people designed the car- or like they ran out of time after doing the front 3/4. That rear has never been particularly attractive to me. I’m not saying it’s a horrible interior, just not my style with the huge column of buttons and the center console design. The gauge cluster looks nice though

This car is really unbelievable! Completely changed the Corvette name and image into a true supercar from a sports car. I think the color is fantastic although there's a bit too much extra blue inside for my liking, but to each their own - you spec the car you like. The sound and performance is pretty damn impressive. I can see them taking this even further in the future. And the aftermarket/tuning sector will send this car to above and beyond in terms of what the full capabilities can be. I've heard some people call this the "poor mans Ferrari" but its far from that. The main benefit of this car and brand is you won't get cease and desist letters if you personalize or modify YOUR car.

They “copied it“ from Coventry Climax of the UK, who built the worlds first flat plane crank V8 racing engine in the early 1960’s, just as they copied mid engine design and transverse engine layout of the Ferrari Dino and its successors from the Lamborghini Miura. In fact, the flat plane crank V8 was first introduced into mass production in 1918 by none other than Cadillac, who also developed the worlds first cross plane crank engine in the early 1920s, which was then considered to be revolutionary due to its incredible smoothness

Being a poor man's Ferrari isn't necessarily a bad thing, considering it means you get the same performance for 1/3 0f a price. Last time I checked a 2023 Ferrari was going for 600,000 to 900,000 depending on trim. Are you kidding me? Give me the vette 😂

I was 50/50 on the C8. I loved the look from some angles, not so much from others. I hate the center stack of buttons. Other than the buttons, they knocked it out of the park with the Z06. The subtle exterior differences from standard C8s to the Z06 make a world of difference. The CF touches in the interior are beautiful. The power is amazing. And that sound. That alone is worth the price of admission. I've been a big Viper guy since their introduction as a concept car, but this C8 Z06 is the first Vette I would seriously consider over a Viper if I was in the market and could afford them. I do LOVE the look of the C7 Z06, but I still would take my beloved Viper over them, they just always had my heart, but this C8 is something special.

I’m not usually a fan of American cars and V8’s because I prefer the sound of V10 and V12, but my this thing is absolute perversion of a car. Literally everything is top notch. Besides the sound of the engine, this car has the most beautiful interior design out of all cars. I love how they’ve split two seats with controls that have been raised and everything on the driver side is more shifted towards them so it looks like you’re driving space shuttle. Truly futuristic. Definitely my dream supercar alongside Huracan, LFA, SF90 and Ford GT
