@@truckguyjoe thanks for the link! I’m sure the same part number applies to my 22 2500 crew cab? Do you think these are worth double the price of husky flaps? Do these mount with the stock screws?
@truckguyjoe10 ай бұрын
@@pryme2013 These require some additional hardware… The technician used his own hardware to make sure they secure properly. I’ve used this flap quite a bit since they introduced it. I think the Husky is a good flap as well.

Looks good. The hitch mounted salt spreader is pretty slick. I think I would have atleast put some wire loom around those wires going into the controller though. Maybe even took that lower panel off and ran them there and drilled a hole for them to come out. But I’m kinda picky about wires lol. Definitely the correct decision on going 2500 (or really HD in general). I don’t remember from the last video but is this a derated 10,000 GVWR truck? I figure maybe it is since they will be using it as a commercial vehicle to avoid needing a medical examiner’s certificate for the driver.

This one we left at 10,650 GVWR. I always ask if they want to order the 10K option

@@truckguyjoe you’re a very knowledgeable salesman for sure buddy. You definitely know these new trucks.
@danielb-c910010 ай бұрын
The only thing I don't like about this. You have to drill holes to the plastic. For the salt spread or controller.
@truckguyjoe10 ай бұрын
Correct… It’s the only way to get a good solid mount unless you use some kind of rubber cement or possibly Velcro.

Hey truck guy Joe i just bought a 24 Chevy 2500hd window sticker says it has emergency light provisions with pass through wire but my truck doesn’t have the 4 upfitter switches is there a switch already in the cab set up for the light
@truckguyjoe3 ай бұрын
The pass-through is a grommet located on the dash that allows wires to be run through… There is not an existing wire that runs to a switch. It’s simply a removable grommet if you want to add your own toggle switch and wiring for a roof lamp. The auxiliary Upfitter switches are a separate option.
@oliverknapp31043 ай бұрын
Can I put in the Upfitter switches after the fact or does it have to be done at factory?
@truckguyjoe3 ай бұрын
@@oliverknapp3104 it can be done after the fact. Any reputable GM dealer should be able to order the parts and install.

I love the Silverado and GMC trucks but it's a shame that GM doesn't care about getting their product to the consumer. I see plenty of Ram trucks hauled down the roads by vehicle carriers and a few carriers with Fords on them but rarely do I see GM trucks. I ordered a new 3500 Silverado on May 15th. The build was completed on July 28th in Oshawa, Canada. It made it into the U.S. on August 29th and it sits in Lewiston, NY literally 98 miles from me and there's nothing anyone can do to get it to the dealer. My delivery date is September-December. GM cares about Fleet orders but could care less about the individual guy that wants a new truck. The whole process is ridiculous to say the least!

That's odd.i order a 3500 in May got it at the end of August took 90 days. I am in Pennsylvania

@@bigmurph1447 I heard from the dealer on Monday and was told it's scheduled to be delivered sometime this week. Nothing so far. Uggh! Does your VIN start with a 1 or a 2? (1=Built in the U.S. 2=Built in Canada) Trucks that were built in the U.S. are shipping much faster than the ones built in Canada.

@@bigmurph1447 That explains it. I don't think it's right and neither does the dealer but there's nothing anyone can do about it.
