The Origional base MSRP for the FJ Cruiser was $24,385, in 2007 and it had a 4 liter V6. Oh how the times have changed

60k for this is wild. This is a 40k vehicle, 45k max. The missing features compared to the price difference between the LC trim or GX550 is insane, this may be the worst value trim of any vehicle ever made. I love cloth but the seat lacks adjustment. The hybrid system is a joke, it's not fuel efficent or powerful. Toyota claims this has 20 less hp than the GX yet its 2+ seconds slower to 60....yeah theres not 326hp there. The cargo compromises are not worth it at all. It also has a tiny fuel tank because of it! The upcoming 4Runner is going to be way better equipped at 60k. The Land Cruiser in any trim really has no business existing, the 4Runner is going to be a lot cheaper with the same powertrain and platform. The GX is the same price with a better warranty, paint, interior, way more power, towing capability and better dealer network. It's a Prado, which starts at the equivalent of 40k in any other country, right where the 4runner is here.

The more practical FJ Cruiser. The original FJ Cruiser was based on the two door Land Cruiser Prado (J120), so with the short wheelbase it had to be a two door SUV, but Toyota decided that they had to make it have four doors. They included suicide doors (like the Honda Element), but at the cost of visibility. This is how the FJ Cruiser should have come from the beginning.

I worry about the trunk weight limit. Camping gear, heavy groceries like sacks of rice or potatoes and gardening stuff like topsoil or fertilizer can easily reach 60lbs.

Nice. But rather have the 4runner. Be more affordable to maintain in the long run. Wish there was a natural aspirated V6 to chose from though. 😊

I mainly like it for the 1985 retro design, and I'm a cleaner. So all cleaning stuff will fit in the back. Fuel economy & off roading are NOT top of mind for this ride.

That’s blue one is not the top trip level it’s the mid trim Level the base model Is the 1958 then the middle trim is the Land Cruiser , and the top model is the first edition Land Cruiser with the round head lights

only supporting 60kgs in the trunk is insane. my 03 Corolla can hold more weight than that in the trunk. you cant even have 2 people sitting in the back using the cup holders and chargers made in the back. probably not even one person because its only like 133lbs converted from 60kg

Most of us can't get the hybrid with the Land Cruiser (Prado). We get just the 2.4 turbo or like in Australia, the 2.8 turbodiesel i4 from the Hilux and 70 series Land Cruiser. So our versions are down on power compared to yours with the turbocharged engine and the hybrid system.
