I’ve heard theories that the range extender could be a flat 4 cylinder pulled from Porsche. I didn’t think that was a bad idea.

That would be cool! Ram is doing the same thing and they are using a 3.6l V6.

I really like the look of it. It has a nod to the vintage look while still looking modern in a good way, outdoors, rugged, masculine, and tough. But that's where it stops with me, because something that looks as good as that deserves a gas only option, not as a range extender setup. A V8 from Volkswagen/Audi would make the Scouts sound as good as they look.
