Really impressed with the amount of research that you put into this podcast. You went with bodies of water, I went with forests near interstates because Rose was a State Trooper. It depends upon how far you're willing to drive when you're so sick that you can't go in to work. There are at least 8 state forests within a 2 hour drive southeast of West Seneca. He stashes her in his trunk overnight, goes back to the bar to establish an alibi, then he disposes of her in one of the state forests along I-86 while he was on sick leave. I hope she is eventually returned to her family.

Steven, great job on covering this young lady's case! Her father is looking from just beyond our Vail and smiling that you are trying to find out her fate! As a Husband, Father, an Paw Paw! I'm proud of you Steven! She is only 3 years younger me! That's awful and sad, friend. OMG The fathers letter to her 10 years later is a true tear jerker! Fine Job Steven.

I'm interested that he returned to the club and went right to the bathroom (for a quick tidy-up and wash) and wasn't seen covered in blood, dirt, injuries or soaked from snow. I suspect it all happened in his vehicle, she was strangled, then he put her in the trunk and disposed of her body in the early hours. The vehicle is/was the key.

The fact that he lied about leaving with her shows he has something to hide. Today we can use cell phones to prove the where abouts of the perpetrator and the victim, though it usually is because of an oversight by the perpetrator. He story does have holes,but since he layered up,the detectives didn't get a chance to build on them. We can only hope someday she surfaces and her family will be able to put her to rest.

I worked with Dan Rose and his father Norbert at the Anderson Construction Co. in Cheektowaga, before Dan went to the State Trooper academy, circa 1980. His father told me at that time that Dan had a very short fuse and was ready to fight at the drop of a hat. I never had any problems with Dan, but he himself told me it was not uncommon for him to be in a fight for one reason of another. Dan also told me that he mentioned his propensity for getting into fights while being interviewed by the State Police prior to his appointment to the academy. He said that information was brushed aside as no problem.

@jeremysmith4620

@@annabellelee4535 What part of the American justice system are you not comprehending? It is common practice to arrest those suspected, even with zero evidence, to place pressure on them by disrupting their life, potentially making them loose their job, and effecting their standing in the community to make them appear guilty to their peers. Sometimes an undercover officer is placed in the same cell in an attempt to obtain an admission of guilt or gather further evidence. Sadly the American justice system doesn't give a damn if you aren't wealthy. You can be arrested and loose everything in the matter of a days if you can't afford a good attorney and have people in the outside to help. I am VERY aware of the lack of evidence, that was the entirety of the my purpose. Our system should not work that way, but it does for everyone but the wealthy and police. Laws simply don't apply to them. From drunk driving to murder, getting a police officer charged and held responsible can be next to impossible.

@@jeremysmith4620 LOL, you just told the world you don't know how the US criminal justice system works. You can't arrest someone without evidence, you can't even force them to talk to the police. Where did you get the idea that the police can just snatch you up off the sidewalk and arrest you?? That's not how it works.
@jeremysmith4620
@jeremysmith4620 Жыл бұрын
@@annabellelee4535 I have lived, experienced, and worked in the US justice system. I am sorry to inform you, but people get arrested more often without evidence than with and then while they languish in jail a case is built unless they can afford the rigged cash bail system. To think that only those only with evidence against them are arrested is utterly naive and shows no factual knowledge about how the justice system actually works in the US. Police routinely "force," or more properly coerce, individuals to speak to them through a mixture of lies, promises, and manipulation. Once you are in custody, which once again they don't need a shred of evidence to place you in, use that setting and the fear of the situation to lie and cajole their way into trying to manufacture evidence of a crime. Police DO in fact just snatch people right up off the sidewalk and arrest them. Where did you learn about the realities of the police and justice system in the US, a comic book from the 1950's? There are laws defending the right of the police to lie to those in custody, there or precedents that allow arrest with nothing more than a vague feeling being enough for an arrest in most jurisdictions in the nation. The worst part about this is attitudes like yours make these systemic issues that much harder to correct. To believe that anyone who is arrested must have evidence against them and therefore somehow "worthy" of arrest is utterly ludicrous and reveals the understanding of a child or someone with their head so far in the sand it must be hard to breathe. Please, do better. Educate yourself. Try to understand what many Americans face because if you believe that this sort of thing couldn't happen to you or someone you care for you may find yourself very mistaken later in life. It would be best to know how the system really works now, so that if you ever do have to interact with it that you know your rights.

Eye witnesses are notorious for incorrect identifications…. Especially once others know there is a person of interest or even just someone the police are asking about. A mix of genuinely wanting to help with the case, wanting to be involved with a police investigation, playing “hero”, etc…. I’m not saying that’s the case… But it doesn’t seem like there is any other evidence pointing to Officer Rose. Additionally…. As a police officer, he would know exactly how they can treat a suspect / PoI… Using any little nuance of a conversation to arrest them.. Many times wrongfully. If he really had nothing to do with it… He probably knew he had to protect himself first and foremost or take a chance of ending up in prison for the rest of his life.. Again… I have no idea. Just saying these situations are always more nuanced then many want to believe or understand…

It is alway the most evil of people who prey on the best of humanity. With all of the eyewitnesses who saw him leave with her should have at least been able to get warrants to test his car, apartment, and clothing. At least to get DNA to be used years later if needed. There had to be enough probable cause to have gotten that much. What a horrible thing to have happened to her. May her killers life be more miserable day after day until he comes clean. It’s no less than he deserves.

That mysterious poster really stands out. Someone with access to that board wanted to direct the attention of authorities on him. Seems like perhaps his roommate was more suspicious than he admitted. With two feet of snow, it creates a situation where the killer gets dirty disposing of the body. He's wet or he's muddy and so his his car. Nothing like that seems to have been observed and the roommate was in his vehicle that night after the disappearance. Perhaps he knew of a location from his family or youth, on private property. Or maybe your observation about Canada is the best guess. Perhaps after dropping his roommate off, he retrieved her body and took it into Canada where it was never linked to a missing person case in the USA.

They go on to live a full life getting married and raising a family. Eating them up inside? Hardly. When we went out as two or more in the 70s 80s.. We moved as a group and left as a group.. If one went to dance we kept tabs on her or she would pop back with her drink to let everyone know who she is dancing with. We never stepped outside with anybody. I often think a body can be hidden anywhere and it may one day be found. But there are also those who make sure it won't be . It is a sobbering thought .

Theres an interesting 1987 Buffalo News story about Buffalo Bill Jim Kelly and the Pierce Arrow Restaurant and a civil lawsuit from a young woman.

Thank you for all your videos and time. I was wondering if maybe you could cover more stories on men that have disappeared? There's more of a mystery. I don't mean anything bad by the following. With all do respect. When it comes to woman and children. We pretty much know the outcome. The reason why they were abducted. Ty!

Sadly, it says a lot about society and humanity in general that there seem to be so many more of these cases where the victim is female.

@@TMMReznor True! And unfortunately we almost always know the outcome when it's about a woman or child. 😔

In 2022 off duty Buffalo Fireman Derek Rose was beaten into a coma at the Blackthorn Bar by a co-worker. He is the son of the Rose in this story.

Seems like some well wishers in the delartment. Once patrick hit 75 at that stage you just let one of them (like the well wishers who created the flyer) slip you the addy, and boom yiu show up on Daniel's fornt door and tell him say helloe to my little friend

I’m so lost. Why does Charley Project, Doe Network….Reddit,…video…say she was last seen at a all night RESTAURANT at 3am? Now you say it’s a nightclub? What nightclub is open until 4am when when the trooper returned and then left with the friend the trooper had left back at the restaurant. 🤷🏼‍♀️😣 you’re the only one who’s stating it’s a nightclub It depends on the state and whatnot but most bars especially back in the 80s closed at 2.30a ….yet somehow this one was open at 4a still? Anyways….don’t kno what to think. Hell it even says RESTAURANT on the flyer thing you included in the video! But you keep saying BAR. Why?
