The first thing that should be mentioned is that this is only for individuals who have type 2 diabetes. Not individuals with type 1.

Is. Sour dough bread good for diebetic
@SugarMDsАй бұрын
Thank you for your question! Sourdough bread can be a better option for people with diabetes compared to some other types of bread, thanks to its lower glycemic index. This means it may not cause blood sugar levels to spike as much as traditional white bread. The fermentation process involved in making sourdough helps break down carbohydrates, making it easier to digest and potentially more blood-sugar-friendly. However, portion control is still important, so enjoy it in moderation as part of a balanced meal plan. It's always best to consult with your healthcare provider or dietitian for personalized advice!

I found a Keto White Bread, no sugar included, 10 gram Carb. 5 Gram Fiber, what’s your thoughts on this Bread.
@daviddavid98372 ай бұрын
I found 2 brands locally with 1 net carb per slice. You can do better than the one you have.
@godbless72102 ай бұрын
What brand name ? Did you check sugar content?
@daviddavid98372 ай бұрын
@godbless7210 The brands are Arnold's and Nature's Own. Both 1g net carbs per slice. Not cheap - about $7 for a small loaf. Aldi's grocery stores also have a keto/ low-carb brand. I don't watch sugar separately because it goes into the carb count, and I just calculate net carbs if it's not on the label or packaging. I don't eat a lot of bread, so it's a treat.

#1 Skip breakfast, Intermittent fasting is key. Eat everything you're going to eat that day within a 6-8 hour window. T2 diabetic here, been binge-watching dietary YT videos for 2 years. Numerous highly qualified sources.

@mayorb3366 Thank you for sharing your strategy and experience. Intermittent fasting can indeed be beneficial for some people. Always consult your doctor before making major dietary changes though. Best of health to you!

Why are fried eggs unhealthy?
@SugarMDs2 ай бұрын
@magicparkmemories, fried eggs are unhealthy because the oil used in frying can add extra saturated fats, oxidants and calories. Let's try a healthier method: poached, boiled, or an omelette. Stay healthy!

@@SugarMDs Oils have more probably unsaturated fats. Not healthy.

Good ideas. Why would scrambled eggs be good and fried eggs would be not so good? Aren't they similar?
@SugarMDs2 ай бұрын
Great question! Scrambled eggs and fried eggs are similar in terms of their base ingredient, but the difference often comes down to the cooking method and additional fats used. Scrambled eggs are typically cooked with little to no oil or butter, making them a lighter option for those managing blood sugar or cholesterol levels. Fried eggs, on the other hand, are often cooked in more oil or butter, which can add extra calories and unhealthy fats. If you're mindful of the oil you use for frying (like opting for a small amount of olive oil or another heart-healthy oil), fried eggs can still be a good option. It's all about how you prepare them! Have you tried different ways of cooking eggs to find what works best for you?

Hello Sir. Someone sent a newspaper cutting saying -putting ppl on insulin is a Scam. And as per USA doctors norms-A mean of 250 of fasting+pp bsg is no longer considered a diabetic,& HbA1c between 7-8 is no longer considered diabetic. What is going on. Could You please clarify this. Thanks🙏
@RaulLopez-yr2ck2 ай бұрын
I would like to know also.
@SugarMDs2 ай бұрын
Thank you for bringing this up. The claims mentioned in the newspaper clipping you saw don't align with current medical guidelines or practices related to diabetes management. According to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and other major health organizations, a fasting blood glucose level of 250 mg/dL is still considered diabetic, and an HbA1c of 7-8% is also within the diabetic range. These levels indicate that blood sugar is not well-controlled, which could lead to complications. Regarding insulin, it's an essential treatment for many people with diabetes, especially those with type 1 diabetes or those with type 2 diabetes whose bodies no longer produce enough insulin. It’s not a scam-it’s a life-saving treatment for those who need it. However, every individual’s treatment plan is different, and it's best to consult with a healthcare provider to determine the most appropriate management based on personal health needs. I encourage you to follow up with a trusted medical professional for clarity on the matter and ensure you're getting information from reliable sources. Always be cautious of misleading or sensationalized claims.
