I overachieved. I bought two 8lb bags of dry pinto beans at the store. Put them out to soak. Kept having to put in more containers due to them soaking up all the water. Ended up with 35 quarts. Wow!!! Had one quart for dinner. Very yummy. Don’t think I’ll make that much all at once again

Oh yes, Better than Boullion is used at a lot of restaurants as the beef au jou! Great stuff! Publix usually has a larger variety

Seasoned Pinto Beans recipe Clean/sanitize jars, lids, and rings 1/2 tea spoon canning salt 1 tea spoon minced onion 1 tea spoon (aprox.) better than ham bullion Fill jar 3/4th full with par-soaked beans Add hot water until 1in head space De-bubble the jars Clean rims of jar with vinegar Add lids and rings Pressure can according to elevation for 90 minutes for quart jars. 75 minutes for pint jars. Allow to decompress naturally before removal. Ta-Daaaa seasoned beans! Thank you for this recipe!

Hey Linda. Was glad to see this video. I need to do this. I bought the Goya ham seasoning and last week made a pot of beans and used 1 packet, definitely not enough seasoning, lol. I just added some Maggi. They were really good. Gonna try 3 packets next time and hunt that in the jar. Thanks for another great video. Was so proud for you and the beans ❤

I love canned pinto beans! I have only done it once and the recipe called to use dry beans in water/broth. I didn't soak and they turned out great. I will try your method soon. Love your videos! They are so helpful. I think I may open a can of these beans for supper later, plus canned potatoes. Can't beat it. 🙂

At 9000 ft. Elevation, I insta-pot the beans for 3 minutes, then can as you described. Whole different ball game up here but good results never the less. 15 lb weight. Nice video.

Hey Burnin Up The Road. Saw you question about adding onions in with you beans. I have added onions for years to mine. When I can find them I will use those small pearl onions to the jars. Here's another twist if you want to kick it up a notch simply add a whole jalapeno pepper to the jar and process it right along with the beans.

If you get iodized salt and the liquid gets cloudy does that means that beans are bad or can you still eat the beans?

I have the same canner in my Amazon cart but just haven't pulled the trigger yet. This was an excellent video for me. I did have a question, do canned vegetables come out mushy? I have this fear that something like carrots will come out like a puree. Can anyone let me know please?

I find most things are OK got to keep in mind though when you’re cooking under pressure for periods of time somethings are going to get pretty soft

Great video! How many beans did you start with? I have not seen the ham BBTB, but have some of the Goya packets. Thanks for the heads up on them. I had planned on using a packet of the Zatarain's Red Bean seasoning mix to flavor a couple of jars. It's good even without sausage/meat.

I like the pinto beans that are served at El Polo Loco. Does anyone know of a recipe for them. I believe they have a hint of jalapeno peppers. I was thinking to doing this recipe and then drop in half of a pepper (less seeds) and can. I don't like spicy hot hot... just a hint of heat.
