We build a stroker honda clone! Starting with a Tillotson 225cc racing block, we add a 0.040" longer crankshaft, bumping this high compression engine up to 228ccs of displacement. This is no doubt one expensive mini bike engine, but it makes an incredible amount of horsepower and torque in a small, lightweight, brand new, and reliable package. There's no official number on how much horsepower this small engine makes, but Taylor at Go Power Sports is expecting 23-24. Small engine performance has come a long way in the last 5 years!
Thanks for Watching!

You could buy a retired shipping container, 20'-40' they start at like $1500. And put it on the other side of the shop. Then you could place it about 12 feet from the building and build a roof/carport in between. Then you'd have outside covered workspace and secure storage too. Love your videos!!

@@rpietros LOL I do wrap the interior with plastic wrap during the winter! And the roof is transparent (tinted) roofing panels from Menards. So it's more of a 3 seasons room. The walls are prefabricated (purchased used from Craigslist for $300). I also already had a pre-existing slab so I just had to build footings up from there for the floor joists. You can also build up the area around the valves on the head with weld, to reduce the volume, and increase the compression. Between shaving the head a high compression piston a thin valve gasket and building up the extra area with weld, You can get the compression high enough It will sound like real dirt bike. And have power for days, some stock dirt bikes come with 13: 1 compression So you should be able to get close with a built motor. Something I hope to see in the future! Sweet little build you got there 👍🙂

Isaac is like a teenager in these videos. He was so happy when jon said that he had icecream sandwiches!!! I think you have to find something that helps keep you young in this world. I've been building my 5 year old daughter a few mini toys to play one. She has a rocket. An atv. I'm working on her "chopper" mini bike right now. Then taking a pedal car and making her a drift car!! Love the videos and keep on building!!!

Just a few years ago it was impressive to make 12 horsepower with off the shelf parts with one of these small block Honda clones, yet here we are in 2020, making nearly 24 horsepower. Where do you think the upper limit of reliable power will be for these Honda Clones? This is an expensive engine no doubt, but you can’t beat it for size, potency, weight, and simplicity. A predator 420 would tick a lot of these boxes, but it weighs over two times more than this engine, and it’s almost double in physical size. A similar situation goes for a smaller dirt bike engine- small(ish), not really light weight, and significantly more expensive than this setup (for a new engine). I’m not knocking big block Honda clones or dirt bike engines, I just think it’s really interesting how far these small blocks have come, and how they’ve carved a distinctive place for themselves in the world of small motorized vehicles.

Y'all motivated me. I am pulling the trigger on a used kubota diesel out of a tiny lawnmower tractor. Going to build a vw bus monster truck. I have all the metal and several old carts to scavenge parts from. Using a old honda trx tranny to have reverse. Plan is more baja look but monster size. I've watched your channel since video 5, and got more and more motivated to build this. My grandson isnt old enough yet, he is on a 3hp kart right now. But it gives me time to fab everything and let my son try and break it so I can make it safe. The motor is the last piece of puzzle, I was planning on using 2 honda 13hp engines i have but the diesel will be more then enough. Not going for screaming fast, just capable. May end up 4x4 still as the donor trx is a 4x4.

Put a tillitson 355a carb on it and run it on alcohol guys if you really want to see it come to life. The last race motor I built was a 5HP Briggs big valve .80 over with flattop wiseco piston horstman 4.485 billet rod. Ran a 11tooth horstman two shoe racing clutch with 8500 stall springs. Man that thing had the torque and HP. It would walk the dog and pick the pups now. Last race my dad ran it busted a new billet sprocket hub on a 1 1/4 live axle now that’s some torque right there. By the next year there were no more tracks to go race at that were close enough to us so we decided to sell and so we did. Had lots of fun racing back then especially more so with my dad. We ran in a class called outlaw class. It’s were you took yard karts built the engines and set them up to handle on a dirt track. The last year we ran the class together we had our karts set up to look like lil mini outlaws with the offset wings on top of the roll cage. Gosh guys I could go on and on. Keep up the great work.

I'm seeing that table getting modified into a test stand. Mostly just need to rig a fuel tank on a stand with an on/off valve and a throttle grip mounted with a short cable for testing the carb. Add a few holes in the top to keep the engine from walking during start-up and testing, and it's a winner.

Do the freezer and heat gun trick on the bearing next time! Heat the block a bit on the bearing bore and put the bearing in the freezer. You might have to use a little propane tortch to heat the block too. The aluminum will expand a lot and you can just drop the bearing and ensure the bearing is seater all the way.
