Brussel Sprouts are good any time of year but are an extra nice feature to your time during the holiday season!
This version is Gluten Free and Diabetic Friendly. If you left out the bacon and salt it would be low sodium. I have mixed information on how many oxalates are in brussel sprouts. This ranges from almost none to a relatively high amount. Use your best judgement if you are watching your oxalates.
If you have balsamic glaze, a drizzle at the end just before serving would be great. Alternately, some balsamic vinegar could be added during the last couple of minutes of cooking. Leaving them as cooked is also delicious. We tend to have them plain and save the balsamic for any leftovers.
