As the owner of a '21 model gtpro, I was keen to see how well the new model compares! So I booked myself a test ride at my local dealer Pure Triumph to find out!

think the gap is because seat will be on its lowest setting by 20mm,bars are closer to rider on new model ? pick mine up 31st may 2024 roll on

I was jonesing for the 24. I ride a 22 GT Pro. Put my bike on the block and only got 3 inquiries from scammers! Trade in would have😊 been $9000! Didn’t need the upgrade that bad. I’m focused on loving my bike. It’s an incredible machine!

Yes, I still love my 900, I did like the '24 but not enough to upgrade just yet! I think as long as mine stays reliable i'll be keeping it!

How is the heat coming off of the engine, for example in city traffic? I know that Triumph has slightly modified the fairing vents to help to mitigate this… does it help?

I didn't notice any to be honest, but it was a cold and wet day so hard to judge! I don't find my '21 gtpro to be too bad in that respect to be honest, I've ridden other bikes which are far worse!

Test rode the bike recently. Noticeable vibes through the foot rests at certain points in the rev range. Possibly bad enough to make longer rides uncomfortable. Although at motorway cruise speed the bike was smooth. Like the electronics but not the screen and its slow graphics. Great on the road, not a fan of the t-plane tho.

Ah, interesting. I ride a '21 gtpro so to me this new one felt smooth as anything! I don't mind a few vibes personally, I think it gives a bike character, though I'm fully aware that's not everyone's opinion! I did like the screen, but yes it is a tad slow at loading up!

That’s a bugger. I was only looking at this amazing bike as an alternative to the Honda CB1000R ABS I had. Got rid of it because pillion hates the vibes making he4feet numb in 10mins. I’ll keep looking for a bike that doesn’t do this to extent of numbing…

I wouldn't discount the Tiger without a test ride! I didn't notice any major vibes myself.

How was the screen and is there a firmware upgrade for the screen to have the new UI?

The new tft is good and much improved, sadly no option to upgrade as it is a completely new design hardware and software wise I believe!

I'll always be jealous that you can do test rides in the UK. When I was debating between the Transalp and the V-strom 800DE I had to rely on online reviews, and just the feel of sitting on each of them. Not the best way to do it, but I'm also not disappointed with the 800DE at all.

I certainly do like the new V-Strom, and I prefer that Suzuki parallel twin to the Honda's! 👍🏻

Michelin Road 6. You will need a 110/80 for the front. 👍🏻

The service interval is 6.000 miles which is nearly equivalent to 10.000km

Yes, but the valve clearance is now 18k rather than 12k, which was a major complaint amongst owners of the previous generation. 👍🏻

The Metzeler Tourances are awful, they just don't inspire confidence, especially in the wet, and follow every single imperfection in the road. When I changed mine to Michelin Road 6s, it was like a different bike! That said, tyres are a very subjective thing!

@@ukveganbikers thanks , yeah I have a triumph gt900 2021 , I haven’t checked my tires but yeah I seem to have a few little slides when riding and they do seem to follow imperfections in the road so I will look into that

Feels taller cause the seat is wider so your feet cant reach as far. Thats my opinion.

No one should wait 6,7,10k for service. Change you oil at least every 3k miles. I myself change the oil on all my Bikes between 2.5-3k Keep your engines clean. 10k service is ridiculous, and only for Beta-Chimps who are not mechanically inclined to work on their own bikes.

@@ukveganbikers Part of owning a Bike is doing the simple work yourself, detailing it, putting your own TLC into it. and not having some Chimp in a service department do it for you.

@@elithegreat6463 nah, for me it’s riding the damn thing! My own Tiger gets washed less than a handful of times a year. But each to their own, and if that’s what makes you happy that’s all that matters!

It’s not your imagination, I am 5”7” and the 2023 models allowed me to almost flat foot. The 2024 I am tip towing with the seat set at the lower setting.
