Yooo I'm back ^^' I'm sorry for the long break. I have to be honest with you. After I recovered from my appendix OP back in December I had a lot of trouble getting back into KZbin and editing, it was hard to find the motivation and drive. I guess I just needed a bit of a break and didn't even know it myself. Anyway, I am back and I'm trying to get to a consistent schedule again little by little. There are many cool mods that released in the 2 months I was away, and I also still have tons of other projects planned from before that. I hope you are still with me to revive this dead horse! :D

I honestly think that the moving box synergy at 7:44 has to be my favorite, you could use it sort of like Void, except with pickups as well as items, and only granting a damage buff. Great video and mod!

Yo, it’s James back with another "dev comment(ary)". I just wanted to say real quick, I’m so glad you’re back Slay! I really missed you and your awesome content! Anyways, this was by FAR my favorite synergy mod to make. Judas’s birthright is such an interesting concept that I feel wasn’t fully explored. Sure, Dr. Fetus synergies is the OG, but this mod was so much better imo. It’s a shame I seem to be the only one who feels that way, as this mod was definitely the worst performing of all my synergies mods. Obviously, it still did amazing, but it wasn’t nearly as popular as the others. Oh, and if you were wondering what my favorite synergy was, it’s Monstro’s Tooth. I just think it was such a cool concept and it’s helpful, but not OP. That’s all I wanted to say, goodbye!

You did an amazing job with it as always ^^ I can see why it is your favorite of the 6 mods so far. But I guess less ppl got it because it is just for 1 character, maybe? I could be wrong tho

It seems like there's a big problem with the mod... You don't actually get the basic charge based damage up from using the items that you should with birthright.

@@dablux3892 How is that a problem? It’s called balancing. I did that because I felt it would be too overpowered to get all the special effects on top of the damage up.

@@dablux3892 I noticed that as well but I actually expected this to be on purpose rather than being a problem/unintended, for balance reasons. All the unique synergies in the base game are on items that don't require a charge or have a time based recharge. Giving the ones in the video both an additional effect as well as the basic synergy the Birthright has with charge-based items would just give them a double advantage.

I feel like box of friends is a little overpowered, pretty much turns 4.5 volt + box of friends into a free win. EDIT: a lot of these in general seem to just make 4.5 volt a free win.

Personally i think a few of these are actually worse than vanilla. Part of the appeal of his Birthright for me is the ability to have the utility of the active item without sacrificing the damage boost of the book. The worst offender here imo is Crystal Ball, replacing soul hearts with black hearts is good and all, but not worth losing the 6 charges of damage given without the mod.

the portable slot synergy is bad i feel like it should last till the next room as it takes time for you to stack them and you will probably take damage wile trying to stack damage
