I had frozen shoulder for about a year and by the time I got a diagnosis it was not long before it got better. I was told it lasts 1 to 2 years no matter what you do. It is not pleasant at all! Fortunately when it’s time is up, it just goes away. What a relief, but I did eventually have impingement surgery and am even better now. When you have these issues, try to find someone that can diagnose you correctly. Before I saw a doctor, I thought I was going to have to live with it for the rest of my life. I saw a reputable sports medicine doctor and then a fantastic physical therapist who has been invaluable to me. She has been a great help many times. They have a great understanding of the body. Everyone should have a good physical therapist!

I had adhesive capsulitis . It was wrongly dianosed for 6 months and took 18 months to recover. Very painful. It went into the other shoulder within weeks. I got the correct treatment the second time and recovered in 6-8 months.

Just bought the book. Got frozen shoulder (started with rotator cuff issues and professed) I think I’m at the thawing stage as I have a bit more movement now although my arm still will not go behind my back

Love the foray 2 exercises but the 3rd is definitely too much of a “stretch” for my frozen shoulder. Maybe in the thawing stage?

Is this any good for rotary cuff injuries?

Hi.. I got diagnosed with frozen shoulder, which is strange since i am only 25 years old. I got steroid shots, that I regret now, but done is done. I want to ask if you can start doing these exercises right after the last shot? I didn't like my doctor, so really hope to get an answer here..

I love these exercises. I’ve had steroid shots in each shoulder for bursitis and tendinitis and I still have days where I deal with my shoulder injury because maybe I’ve typed too much or rode too hard on my horse. This is so simple!

Hi.. I got diagnosed with frozen shoulder as well, which is strange since i am only 25, but got 3 steroid shots, and i want to ask you how long you waited after the shots to start doing these exercises?

A left frozen shoulder was one of the most excruciating things I ever felt. I wish physical therapists knew when they do the stretches on it that they cannot just lay your arm back down to your side moving it quickly after a stretch!! That recoil is SO painful. Could not raise my arm out from my side whatsoever, it hung down for a couple few months and had been probably 6 since pain started. PT had me take a stick in my right hand and put the end in the palm of my dangling left and push the stick, could do maybe a few inches passively. Followed their exercises and could lift it above my head in a month or less. Never babied it again when it aches, use it!
