Y’all should do a diy challenge where you go to a normal home/office/apartment like a friend’s or a family member’s (ie the realm of a non-diy enthusiast with all the supplies and power tools and craft items) and challenge yourselves to diy whatever you can out of the common household items and everyday supplies that are there. You’d be showing your viewers that we really can diy out of anything! Love you ladies!! Would love to see this happen

Love the candle - and to make it functional you could carve a hole in the top too and add an LED tealight - safer than open flame too and if anyone asks you can just use the safety feature as the reason you did that.

For the floating shelf, one thing I would have done (and honestly this is mainly because my dad is a finishing carpenter so I've been around construction projects all my life and have thus been taught to go kinda overboard with projects like this, lol) is I would have added drawer slides between the inner shelf and the outer shelf, that way theres no way you can accidentally pull the outer shelf off too far and drop whatever is on the top shelf. Theres no way you'd ever have a floating shelf in reality with nothing on it decor wise, a pair of drawer slides adds an extra layer of security.
@GeeklingNo15 жыл бұрын
Might do that plant one in my bathroom for my pads and tampons. It’d add some greenery and still be functional

I think the floating shelf’s hidden compartment needs a front to keep anything from getting stuck between the top and the hidden compartment. Also if you used earthquake or museum putty for any items you put on top, then those items wouldn’t fall when you slide open the shelf. Also these ideas would work really well for an escape room/party.

These are uber cute!! Not really a diy or anything but I had an idea for hiding something like your tablet or laptop, is if you have an expandable dining table (we have one from IKEA), you can hide your laptop underneath where the table leaf inserts are stored (you may have to put one of the inserts somewhere else for this to work). My friends house was burgled *TWICE WITHIN A WEEK* so now I'm thinking of different ways to hide the important stuff
