Sounds nice. I have a question: Why do you soak the cashews? I've never heard of this before.
@BlaqcRain5 жыл бұрын
@@thewhat531 makes them less gritty when you blended them ... you can circumvent that process by soaking them in boil water first for about 30min-1 hour to soften the cashews
@hayleyjensen7115 жыл бұрын
@@thewhat531 it makes them creamier and easier to blend! (:
@papparocket5 жыл бұрын
@@BlaqcRain An even quicker way is to grind the cashews dry to a powder, fluff the powder up a little with a knife or chopstick (since the powder tends to pack in the corners), then add the water or other liquid and blend for a short time. By grinding the cashews dry maximizes the surface area so they soften very quickly. Let it sit for 10 minutes or so and then blend until smooth.

I couldn't agree more that sauces are incredibly important to amp up flavor and have variety in a meal. I have three go to's mostly because all of the ingredients are pantry staples: 1- Peanut butter, soy sauce, chili-garlic paste, sesame oil, (warm water to dilute peanut butter) 2- Tahini, lemon, zaatar, salt, pepper, cayenne, (warm water to dilute tahini) 3- Olive oil, spicy brown mustard (or dijon), red wine vinegar, salt, pepper
