So helpful! I have lain awake for hours yawning which would set off post nasal flood and stuff up my nose so I would yawn more, keep clearing my throat...yuk, what a mess! I kind of guessed something I was doing was perpetuating the situation, but I wasn't sure what. My work is now cut out for me, but I know what the work is. THANK YOU!

Been mewing about 6 months now. Seriously life changing. My jaw hardly ever locks anymore. Good stuff. And herbs and homeopathy can help open the nose too. Might take a while to find what works but when you do it is truly life changing.

what are these exactly? herbs and homeopathy you mention of?
@lr1732

@@elo_888 Well, everyone is different when it comes to the remedies; and correcting what is causing all the inflammation in the first place needs to happen, but my daughter had a chronic stuffy nose and she came to my house one day and mentioned it so I gave her some homeopathy (it was the BHI sinus formula along wit the Boiron allergy formula) and an herb formula I made with Goldenrod, Nettles, Ground Ivy, Plantain, Bayberry, Yerba Santa, Osha Root and Lobelia. You can probably find a premade formula that would work too. Wishgarden has some good formulas you can check out. It helped her a ton. I also have her practicing this breathing as well. She is pretty clear when she cuts way back on carbs and eats more meat. Since she shifted her diet she said her nose is hardly ever stuffy anymore. So that might be worth trying too. Good nluck!

@@elo_888 Also, I recently got an herbal tincture formula called Aroma Resins by Hawaii Pharm and the reviews were good; and some specifically about helping with chronic nasal congestion. Might be worth trying.

@lr1732

@@desisbled And what is your experience with homeopathy? My guess is none. I no longer use an inhaler and I have helped many people get off inhalers and nebulizers because of these sugar pills. Was it just a placebo that got out huge mucous plug out of my lung that was suffocating me (I did not even know I had) the size of a gummy bear? Or get someone with an O2 level below 80 from pneumonia into the 90's within minutes? That was during lockdown when people were not getting treatment. Fun times. It is not a placebo when you see this over and over again. I have even seen it work with hard core skeptics. When doctors who experience homeopathy for themselves end up leaving the modern medicinal system to practice it you know it isn't a placebo. Believe whatever you like.

Cardamom pods held in the mouth when not eating cause total nose breathing. The green pods are more or less tasteless and spraying with propolis occasionally further enhances oral health.

Thank you soo much Zac. This is the MOST successful attempt on nasal breathing because this video actually exactly shows how its done without unnecessary complication. My mouth finally feels normal. All of the mewing videos are kinda too complicated and I tend to lose myself in all the attempts. I finally place my tongue where it has to be, none of the mewing videos helped so far because: TOO COMPLICATED

I believe my mouth breathing results from my jaw deeply relaxing when I fall asleep, causing my mouth to open. I have to double the tape across my lower lip; otherwise, I wake up with the tape pulled away from that area, while the tape remains firmly adhered to my upper lip.

Recently my tongue stops me from breathing out from my nose at night when I lay down. Have sleep apnea and only had issue with breathing in, but now have problems breathing in and out through my nose. It’s scary. Tongue caves in at the top- preventing air from coming out of nose. Don’t think CPAP mask works well. Don’t know why it’s just starting to happen.

I have no problem breathing through my nose during the day, but at night one of my nostrils is blocked. otherwise I have a crooked nose and I have trouble sleeping. Do you have a solution? Again, during the day I breathe normally through my nose, but at night one nostril gets blocked and it causes a big problem when I sleep.

Assuming you are medically cleared, you may consider lip taping and sleeping with a nasal strip. If you close the mouth and can get tongue posture, that often opens up the nose

Dont listen to this guy, mouth taping is dangerous if you cant nasal breathe, more than likely your septum and turbinate's
@mrr5835
@mrr5835 9 ай бұрын
I had this problem because i have a deviated septum and it was worse when i lie down (to the point no air went through my left side). I just had surgery for it. With that said any of those products that expand your nostrils help. The sticky ones are rough on your skin yet work well, but they have mechanical ones that expand your nostrils you can try when lying down.

Great content as always! I'm wondering if you've ever experienced someone with the inability to feel one or both lats contract, or had one lat significantly larger than the other. Obviously there's hundreds of possibilities, but I'm curious about thoughts from a PRI perspective. Thanks!

Indeed. Usually there are side to side differences in movement, but it's not necessarily a bad thing if you can't evenly contract things

I have the same question. Mouth tape does not solve this issue. Because mouth tape does not prevent your tongue from dropping to the bottom of your mouth. Mouth tape only keeps my lip sealed.

age as in, there is a time frame for facial development. Even tho i have heard that effects cannot be seen easily wen u are of a certain age, i would beg to differ. I as a 20+ year old, have started the journey to become a nose breather and have used tapes and headwears. But none of that worked because it felt wierd and uncomfortable to me. But now i went to a dentist and got my oral screen ready because no matter what, i have to be a nasal breather.
