Im 15 I started looking at it when I was in 6th Grade. Man I prayed I fasted I did everything I asked for more faith I asked for his will for his strength. Ive asked and believed I believe at least and Ive asked for the answer. If you could explaint his better or something. God is all powerful I don’t get why he wouldn’t just make me whole why not remove this body of flesh. Why do I have to suffer in sin? This is horrible and I cant get anything done. I am thankful to God and I asked him to reveal it to me whats wrong and convict my heart, I dont know why Im still stuck. And I havent told much people because I dont want to, and thats the problem, even though I know I need help, i simply dont wanna obey because that makes me uncomfortable and I dont want to feel shamed because i idolize pleasure. There aren't enough words to thank you for this! Point number 2 really hit home, I've been struggling with sexual sin for years now and quitting it has been an extremely painful process, every time I fell I felt fear for God's punishment and that made it worst because that didn't made me stop. I still fear the repercusions of my actions but obeying him out of love and wanting to keep his commandments out of pure love and respect has been more powerful in my fight. Sorry for the long rant but I really needed to get it out of my chest. I pray for God to help and bless all of you.

We all fall short of Christ, so there is no 'recurring sin'. For example, the whole of the law is to love God will all of your heart and your neighbor as yourself. What a recurring sin that is! Every day, we fail to live as Christ lived, so why do we hyper-focus on specific sins? The question is, do you have peace with God? Does the Holy Spirit bear witness with your spirit that you are a child of God (Romans 8.16)? Otherwise, unless you are in the presence of God, how do you know if you are right with Him? Christ died on a Cross so that we may know Him. May He grant you peace as you become 'seated in the heavenlies with Christ.' Ask, and you shall receive! Yet, ask in faith, as the double-minded man won't receive a thing from God. Claim your peace, your infilling of the Holy Spirit (Luke 11.13)! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Wow this is such an amazing video and it made me think of other believers how they have fallen from grace and decided not follow God anymore because it’s to hard or their guilty of sin and feel like God hates them because of it or just don’t come to God at all because the fear of punishment when God clearly states there is NO FEAR in LOVE! Hi, Pastor Mark, thank you so much for this. This morning I struggled with my old sin. It's not been for a while, longer than before, and I did not want to do that again. I was contemplating, tempted to do it. There was something in my heart I could not put my finger on. It was so devastating and was so tempting to just give in for once more. I've been a Christian for about 8 years now and have struggled since i was little, of this view of God as a punishing God. I've grown to know this isn't what the Bible says for those who are in Christ. I know there is no fear in love but I struggle with fear, abandonment, fear of punishment. Wow! That's pretty presumptuous. The Holy Spirit spoke that to me personally because I had the tendency to try too hard my own strength, and it backfired. I think my reason is number 2 more so. But instead of fear, it’s relying on myself alone to overcome the sin than relying on the Lord to help me overcome it. I kept thinking that I can do it on my own, which I suppose is a prideful way of going about it. Luckily as of yesterday I’ve finally realized that and He will build me up to the point where He will help me fully defeat it and I will proclaim to the people that told me that lust is a sin that we never stop struggling with while in our mortal bodies. He heard my heart when I said in my mind that I refuse to believe that it can never end while in our mortal bodies. The Lord told Abraham that nothing is too difficult for Him and Paul said that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. So I refuse to believe it’s impossible because nothing is impossible for Him and nothing is impossible through Him. I told the Lord that when that day of victory comes it would be His victory for He did what many said was impossible. And I will proclaim it to my brothers and sisters that it was not impossible. That the Lord fought for me and defeated lust for me while my soul still lived in my mortal body. I simply have to trust Him, be faithful to Him, and keep growing closer to Him along the way. And when the day of victory comes I’ll know and all glory will be His.

I can see recently that I have always made the choice that does the most damage to me. I have two reoccurring sins that don't go away that point directly at this heart condition. I think you are on to something here. Pray that this condition may be resolved soon, as I am old enough to drop from natural causes at any time. I would like to meet Jesus face to face, and not face in my hands.
