Freestyle step aerobics is my favorite. 80s club mixes and 60 minutes later we were happy to have a 30 minute ab workout because we could lay down! Fantastic times.

I have bad knees (for now, doing carnivore diet). I'm 48 ys old, use to be a full time house/air bnb cleaner. I want to workout, not wreck myself further. I love these workouts. As long as you keep on trying and moving you are never a senior.. 😊

This is basically aerobics from the 70s and 80s. I remember doing similar workouts while a grad student. I prefer this to anything else because you're moving but I can follow you easily. Thanks for bringing this back! More fun than walking!

I am 50 years old & have issues with hips & back, I'm menopausal, hypothyroid & have been through cancer twice & other surgeries. I used to workout 2 hours a day 3-5 days a week & lift weights. I find I cannnot do the intense workouts I ince did. I'm grateful for videos like these where the movements are more fluid & slower & gets the heart rate up too. I find slower, more fluid movements allows me to get a good workout in & provides workouts I'm able to physically do. I enjoy your videos. I also love fitness walking outdoors & on the treadmill. The pace of this video is really great!

Based on other workouts, I estimated this to be about the same amount of steps. How, then, can this video be 2 miles? Wouldn’t that be almost 11,000 steps? I like these workouts but I’m confused.

I'm glad I found this channel. I was so desperate to just move, my body was aching and I haven't been having the motivation to exercise. I am perimenopausal and its been tough. I decided to do this workout (alternating with another from the same channel) and in four days I don't have the aches, I feel like I'm finally starting to feel better. Boosts my mood too. I thought these are easy workouts but ... what I can say is, they are very manageable. I feel very good afterwards, and I sweat 😅

Honestly, this workout I have now done twice. I'm recovering 4 months down the line from heart valve replacement (born with faulty aortic valve) . I've progressed from walking to cardio based workouts . I only found your channel last week and the level of challenge is perfect for me. Male over 55: I have been performing aerobics for about 3 years. This year I started with aerobics everyday. I aim for 1/2 hour each day and 1 hour on weekends. I also tone with weights 3-4 times a week. I feel a lot better. I surprise myself by knowing most of the moves. I enjoy the mental and physical aspect of your workouts. I like the walking exercises. I am sure I will be back. Variety is the spice of life and I am sure I will not get bored as I rotate different workouts. I just added you to my subscriptions. I sweated and was out of breathe. I feel I just had a great workout. Thank you. I know I will have a great day.

I really like this work out. I'm 67 and trying to get back in shape after several months of not being very active. Although I only got 1.3 miles worth of stepsI feel like my entire body got a good work out. I love walking and hiking, but these kind of workouts work muscles that don't get used when walking or hiking. Thanks for sharing a great workout that can be done at home.

Male over 55: I have been working out with aerobics for 3 years and lately been working out 1/2 hour with aerobics everyday. This workout is great for me since most of the moves I have already done but a few new ones. Also, the pace has less breaks then I am used to. I like the intensity and am sweating when I am done. Lauren, I love this workout! I have to tell you though that the first time I did it some of the moves were quite difficult to follow but now they seem so easy. This gives me a nice sense of accomplishment. Thank you for that! ❤

Dear Lauren, I am 45, and used to do high impact hiit till injuries hit me, i have achilles tendonitis and right tennis elbow and on the recovery path, came across this video and tried to do it. I managed to finish the whole video without any pain. Your video is a savior to me as i can include it to my rehab regimen.❤ Thank you for the wonderful video 😊

I'm not a senior and this was challenging yet doable! I feel so defeated trying other walking routines on the internet that are just too intense, even though they are listed as beginner. I appreciate the low impact exercises you make so I can teach my body to be more active without injuring myself 😅 Thank you!! 💕

Lauren, I really love this video! I was pleasantly surprised at how much of a calorie burn I get with this (I wear a Nike apple fitness watch). This is a nice slow steady burn and burns more than some of the higher impact aerobic videos by young women for young women I do. I am blown away. I will be incorporating this particular video into my weekly rotation! Thank you for this and I would love if you could make more 30 min walking videos like this. Also I think I noted it in a comment on another video, but I just love your setting. The blue is beautiful especially in what seems to be a dove grey fitness video world. Thanks again for this one!

@@SeniorShapeFitness Hi Lauren I have to say more. I did this one again today after work I work night shift in a hospital as a chaplain. I do aerobics as self care-helps integrate right and left sides of the brain. I was thinking about this video the last hour of my shift and looking forward to it. The high calorie burn is just a bonus. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Feel free to make more 30 minute walking-i am not brave enough to do the dance(I actually tried 4 min the other day)-it takes me too long to get the moves and start having fun.

I “walked” 1.36 miles taking close to 3000 steps and had no pain or discomfort. I have lower back spasms and my knees aren’t great BUT so relieved to find an exercise that raises my heart rate, is fun to do and doesn’t destroy my 60 year old body! Thank You!

I haven't done this workout but I have a few others and I love them. My work is seriously tied to a chair for an entire 12 hours and I cannot get breathless. These are fun, engaging, and while challenging, don't make be breathe very hard so I can still answer 911 calls even if in the middle of a session. Thank you for these videos. I really enjoy your calming supportive tone.

Hi Lauren, thank you for your wonderful encouraging channel. I am 66 and until December '23 very fit, active, swimming, walking. Seriously injured soft tissue in my knee due to over walking use... finally getting better, very slow recover. I love it you provide varying degree of knee work and I can search according to knee ability. I'm so happy to have found your gentle disciplined presentation truly appreciated.
