You are so motivational. I initially started watching your channel when I began to grow my fragrance collection, however something interesting happened! My mom was diagnosed with cancer (she lost her battle😢) and we began to look for cleaner ways to help with her diet and grow foods and then your channel was right there changing and incorporating those things as well. As a young mother of 3, it’s so refreshing to come on KZbin and find someone who is so passionate and down to earth. I just want to say thank you, and I love all of your content because it inspires me as a mother and woman!

So glad you left that section where you stopped yourself saying “IMO” when talking about your body. We are so disconnected from our bodies that even our speech illustrates the disconnect. I’m proud of you for the intentional work you do. I’m inspired to do better, try things, and learn.

You’re so inspiring!!!!!!!! I’ve made soooo many of your dishes. A lot of things I was familiar with, but soooo many I was not. It has gotten to the point where EVERY TIME I create a new healthy dish or get a new perfume my mom and friends say, “ you must got that from Helen?” Lol. As if I can’t come up with anything myself 🙄🙄. I’m 5 years pescatarian. However, since watching you I’ve definitely become more plant based . I could go on and on. Long story short, I LOVE your videos. Keep doing you. & if you haven’t reached anyone else, you’ve definitely reached me. Starting tomorrow I’m going 2 weeks raw… hopefully more. 😊. Congratulations, I did something similar for 40 days…. I lost 30 pounds….although I was not trying to lost. I felt great at the end. I’ve done keto, vegan and plant based diets. They all worked well for me. I gained tons of information from each type. My current goal is to learn how to make a substantial vegan patty (one that has a nice texture). Thanks for sharing your journey. I watched many of your videos.

I have been watching your videos for about 2 years now. Thanks for sharing you. I have had recent medical challenges that are predominantly diet and lifestyle related. I struggle with being vegan but love eating healthy. I have thought about a raw diet but like you, I also like beans and other cooked foods. I also want to start a garden. I will be moving to Texas next year and would love meeting you and talking to you more about your lifestyle and incorporating some habits into my lifestyle. Blessings on your continued healing!

This was such a great chit chat!! I appreciate you for sharing so much with us. I’m so excited that I’ve stuck with the pescatarian lifestyle for 47!days so far!! I am going to try raw for a day as well and see where it takes me!! I am feeling so much less inflammation so far!!

wow that's good. Yes indeed that inflammation is horrible. We don't really even know how much we are inflamed until we eat clean. It's like night and day.

My family did a meatless month, but we ate the processed “plant based meat” a couple of times a week. I don’t enjoy cooking, especially if the meal/recipe requires a lot of steps.🤦🏾‍♀️ We continued the meatless meals, but incorporated salmon and shrimp into our meals a couple of times each week. We cut red meat from our diet at least 10 years ago. We are still figuring things out. But I love this information.

I use to load up on those processed vegan foods too. I think its like an easy way to transition over to ridding our bodies of meat. Over time I have learned just how horrible some of those packaged meatless patties are. They really are easy to make ourselves. I don't buy them anymore, but I use to.

Loovveee you soo much sis and love this video!! 💜✨️💜✨️ And I can sooo relate! I came off a raw Vegan "self-challenge" a couple weeks ago (still high raw and going back fully next Monday), went out to eat with my godsister for my birthday, had a couple drinks and ate Vegan nachos with her--you talking about feeling COMPLETELY AWFUL honey!! Awful 🤒 Like body aches, old pains returning, all the things! I'm like, oh okay I'm definitely DONE with wine and alcohol, and I'm over cooked Vegan junk food for now! (and I've been juicing off and on since 2014 and have literally CRACKED the code on mocktails made with real juice, so 🤷🏽‍♀️ lol) I have ALWAYS loved fruits and vegetables even as a little girl, but going fully raw just really makes you FEEL GOOD!! I said, oh we really on the same frequency here and so much in common!! I LOVE IT! And I'm so grateful for your existence sis 🤗💜 Keep BEING YOU!

Oh I am going to need some mocktail recipes lol Yea I figured if I want nachos I will have to make them myself. I don't do well eating out. but I agree that eating raw makes me feel amazing!

Like I just made a Chipotle-esque sofritas bowl at home (no tofu) with a little black rice mixed with cauliflower rice and mostly romaine lettuce 😋 And yeesss sis, try out my mocktail blend! It's basically like 8-14 oz. of a fresh juice, 1-2 oz. of tonic water and 1-2 oz. of sparkling spring water or a sparkling water like Polar's blood orange or their Cherry Limeade 😁 And I find that using a lot of ginger and a lot of lime or lime with the skin in the juice gives it this alcohol-like "bitterness" and the "burn" in your chest from the ginger is a GOOD burn! Lol so my favorite juice blend to make is: seeded purple/black grapes, purple cabbage, cucumber, (sometimes blueberries), lots of ginger (like 4-8 thumbs, depending on my mood lol) and a whole lime with the skin. But I've also done strawberries and papaya together, orange and pineapple, grape and pomegranate, etc. I've also made a really concentrated hibiscus tea and used that instead of the tonic water. Put it in one of my cute classes and you've got an actually good for you mocktail 🤗💜

That’s a pretty awesome testimony for raw eating. I’ve been hearing you say how good you’ve been feeling more and more so I’m definitely going to give raw eating a go. I so proud of you Helen congratulations I don’t eat meat but I really need to stop being lazy & juice. My father died yesterday they are saying it may be from a heart attack & like you I want to see all my grandchildren grow up. I don’t want to be on any medication I’m 52 now don’t look it now but I’m at the age when things start to decline. Instead of going through that I’m going to do better I lost my mother to cancer as well. They say everything we need to heal the body is on this planet & I believe it. Thank you for sharing I’ve been here from day one even though I don’t comment all the time I value your channel 💕🥺🙏🏾

@45:05 Yea my current plan is high raw this week, fully raw next week, and then alternate day fasting for 2 weeks 😊 That's a month's worth of a plan and then I'll figure out what I'm doing from there at that time. It gets really cold here in Kansas City, so I'm going to take this raw thing all the way through until it gets cold here basically, which is probably about October-November. I feel like I'll still be high-raw but I just really love soups, stews and hot food in general. I definitely plan to keep this going though and becoming a part of my lifestyle 🤗💜

Awesome!!! You can sprout lentils and chickpeas etc…so that way you can still eat them raw…no cooking of the beans would be needed😊

Thank you for this video. You are so inspiring. The kid situation is so real. You want them to eat their fruits and veggies but when they eat yours, it's so frustrating. My main hurdle is giving into stress eating over and over. Going to keep trying though. Thanks again.

Thank you for sharing. This is very encouraging. I tried juicing for two weeks and my body loved it but it is very expensive. I wish I could plant in my back yard but it’s in the middle of summer in texas and I have no experience with growing anything. Im going to watch your garden videos and try to see if I can plant during the fall.

yes it can be expensive. That's why I keep it simple. One large watermelon makes about 2 gallons of juice. Other than that I juice a lot of cucumbers and celery. They also make a lot of juice.

I understand totally my cousin went vegan and some of our relatives were like ewe, but I was open to the change she made and I went to some vegan restaurants with her and found myself liking them and I've even made some vegan dishes myself. I drank a green or a fruit juice everyday for a week. I felt great, it did make me go, because I was going like every other day maybe. I have been thinking about going raw and I’m at 85% raw now. I’m getting there. Thanks

I actually am still going.. I ate fully raw today. I really don't have a desire as of yet to eat anything cooked. So no I don't mind you encouraging me to keep going. Thank you

I have been eating a lot of watermelon this season and discovered that it hydrated me far better than water!!! This would have been so valuable to me far younger. I drank water and drank water, to no avail.😌

I never heard of date coffee. I love dates, however, I am extremely sensitive to caffeine and coffee/lattes give me the runs so I avoid it now. I used to deal with in until 2020 but I do miss the taste of lattes with almond milk so I’m going to try this. Thank you for sharing this info 💕

for the date coffee, if you roast the date seeds until they are toasted you can toss them in the grinder and make date coffee. It does taste good, but it just isn't coffee. much better for me though.
