This week, I'm off to Belgium with Odin for various tasks, from paperwork to Odin's vaccine shots. Meanwhile, Philippe awaits parts for the little digger due this week. Even after 9 months, there's still land to clear, and Philippe is busy tackling it. While clearing, he discovers some old plastic coverings, possibly remnants of a past vegetable garden. As the week progresses, good news arrives in the form of a package containing the new parts for the excavator! With that, it's time to fix it so we can resume digging. Join us as we split our time between Philippe's work at home in France and my errands with Odin in Belgium. Enjoy!

Excellent work Philippe! You're certainly picking up a lot of new skills and knowledge working on your property. Watching you on your digger and then working on it brings back a lot of memories for me. Before entering the trades, after I had finished high school in Canada, I was a heavy equipment operator for a number of years. I like your logic in how you're approaching your tasks. Ive said this before but I have to repeat myself. We're really enjoying your episodes. Anicia's editing and voice overs, the good music, your everyday life moments, and Odin. It is so nice watching a tree be saved from ivy, I could almost hear the tree sigh and say thank you! Oh, what a hard job it is slaying brambles but it’s so satisfying having them gone and the view improved 100%! I have so much respect for you because you take care of your equipment, which isn’t easy and will always benefit you in the end. Isn’t it always the same, you plan on doing all these things you don’t have enough time for, we’re always optimistic! It’s finally calming when you’ve got all of your paperwork and responsibilities sorted and can come back home to relax, hopefully, for a time.

hello from michael & patsy ,living in finisterre france. loving following your journey, video content and editing make it very watchable. reminiscent of my journey 25 years ago but we only took on 5 acres. now a much smaller garden but we still grow most of our fruit and veg. we bought a two wheeled tractor a staub 7000. second hand for 350 euros, working order, although we did replace bits. it came with plough, rotivater, and other attachments. the best thing ever for a smallholding. you can add lawn cutter and tall grass cutter, also seat and trailer if you wish. very easy to use, wish we had found it at the begining of our journey. check it out and best of luck . we will be following your future

You need a machete (or similar big knive) for those "brambels", especially the parts that are tricky with the mower. Hello, cleaning mechanical zone: At Tim.Cod. : 21.45mnt, to degrease and clean very well this kind of of course mechanical use "bombe de Degraissant à Frein" that could be translate by: Brake degreaser can. I saw this use by some French truck traveller at this day in Chilie and over one Argentine with Good efficiency. Natural fence!!!! Your son is the next to the mower, ver A lovely idea to remove the ivy that will kill any kinf of trees........with time. Garden :Some bramble bushes can be used as property lines along the "property limite mark" In french une ""BORNE de Cadastre"" that is official and in the French Law property. hope thet is clear Generaly in urban zone it is a "cadastral neel" but in country, like your property, it is a reebar with at its ead a concret-cube originaly peint in yellow!!!(length around 1meter) In France, An "official cadastral surveyor" materializes the complete perimeter of the property by these "cadastral markers" planted deep in the ground. Hope you have it in order to be well with all around your property. Bon courage and stay safe.

Hey Jean-Marie, i know brake cleaner very well, i have a good friend who is a mechanic and uses it a lot. It will be some time before he can mow but i am looking forward to the day he will be able to help 👶👍I have found one concrete cube close the house with yellow painted on top, the rest of the property is still very overgrown so there might be more but no idea. The old trees is how we define the property lines for now and they add up more or less to what is on the cadastre .
