In this tutorial I am demonstrating a straight pour. I'm loving the underwater seascape feel it has to it. The paints I am using are Liquitex Basics Titanium White mixed with Phthalo Blue and Phthalo Green, DecoArt Americana Decor Metallics in Emerald and Deep Sapphire. Paints mixed 1paint:2Floetrol, which is then thinned with a mixture of 90%water/10%Floetrol to proper consistency. Consistency: 1.5

I know it’s a very sketchy color on it’s own. But next to the deeper colors with the same hues, it really softens up. It tricks the eye.

Love it as always. I think your idea about paint the edges first is the smartest. No matter which type of pour. Clean and neat that isn’t me lol. I use a lolivefe mat but I’m not pouring paints that often. Oh and your color choices are always stunning.

Emerald is beautiful and I just happen to have an unopened container. (Not sure what to call jars/tubs) I wish I could stretch out the paint to get the effect you so. This piece is really beautiful 😍.

It just takes practice. You’ll get to know the flow of the paint over time. My first pieces did not look like this. 😂
