Wow, feeling this workout. just the way you break it up, along with the Tabata is awesome, I had to close my eyes with the last hammer curls and focus on just doing them, getting stronger that's for sure, day 7 down✔🙌💪💯

This series is amazing! I am 7 months post-partum with my second. I used to do strength training at the gym before children and after I found it difficult to find time to get there, then covid happened and they were shut down anyway. Now after my second I want to get back into shape because I have had muscle weakness and pain. I did the HIIT 2 weeks then bought some weights (7,10,15, 20's) then started this one. So far I love both but I love this one a bit more. I love how they flow, just when I think I can't do a workout I start and just do it and find the muscles that are sore are still getting the rest they need and I am still getting active (very thoughtfully laid out). You have been very motivating through this (my favourite lines are "what would it look like if I said 10 more seconds?", and "yes you can!!!" I am looking forward to repeating these workouts until I can master the moves without modifying them. Thank you so much, I am starting to feel like myself again!

This is my fourth round of split strong, second time thru with heavier weights. I need to get more weights I guess. Today I felt really strong in my core. I normally can't really do those plank rows without a lot of movement but today I stayed pretty still. Progress!

WOW... SWEAT dripping from my face. This was hard/tough O_O... But glad I made it to and through day 7 :-D The shake is real LOL. I am doing less yoga in the past few weeks and I can notice the difference. The work-outs feel tougher. So guess I have to amp that up again. Definitely going to repeat this one!

Thank you Lindsey! Just had a question… what weight should I use for my back exercises? When I do upper back exercises 5lbs per arm is plenty, but in middle/lower back exercises 8lbs per arm is too easy… I am also a competitive swimmer specializing in butterfly so that may be a factor and I am 11 if that helps. Sorry for the long question!❤️🙂

GREAT question! The back is a big, powerful muscle group, so I like to really challenge it with heavy weights! You want it to feel difficult by the final 2-3 reps of each exercise (but still be able to finish with good form!). I personally reach for ~20 lb dumbbells for back exercises but I recommend anything from 10 lbs - 25 lbs!

How do I build the strength to even do a full kneeling pushup? I can't get anywhere near the ground and if I do there's no going back up!

I would start with incline push ups! Bringing the "ground" closer to you helps as you work to build up those chest muscles!
