The 4 holdouts need to make it clear that Notre Dame has to join as a full member before voting yes. They shouldn't be able to have this much say and not play a full football schedule

Notre Dame should have NOTHING TO SAY in a football conference where they are not a member.

Regarding Paul’s remark, that unc blows off NCSU ( to say try and jump to Big10), this could not happen within unc systems of regents. At the very least NCSU has the power, if in their interests, to block a unilateral unc move. Before it ever came to that, NCSU Chancelor, NCSU, AD would have had to be played as naive buffoons by unc counterparts. At the very least NCSU would have another. Power 5 landing spot even if different from unc.

I think getting Stanford , Cal, and Smu is a play to try and attract Notre Dame. Doubt it works

It is a play to get Subscribers to the ACCN in the 2 biggest States TX & CA and to almost DOUBLE the number of Top 50 TV Markets in the ACC Footprint and it accomplishes that IMMEDIATELY. It is a play that brings in around $8 Million EACH to ACC teams from ACCN. It is a play that lets current ACC Members split the Pro Rata SHARES of the New Members however they like short-term and is worth around $8 Million for EACH ACC Member on an expanded TV Deal. Then STEP 2. (Which is really about step 25.) But so many options for Step 2 that calling it is not worth the time to type it.

@user-kn7ry8iz6x Acc knows good chance they lose Flst , Unc, Uva Clemson, and Miami eventually. When that happens these 3 schools along with down the road probably Tulane or Memphis holds conference together to be kind of on par with big 12.

The ACC needs more teams so when it’s top teams leave it is still a conference. The need to be the BiG XII east.

Why would 12 schools vote yes, then work out a way to split the SMU money, why then give it to the 3 schools that voted no? That doesn’t make sense.
@Lram2525
@Lram2525 Жыл бұрын
lol. That’s not how it works bud. They are still members of the league and their opinion counts. A&M and Missouri did not want Texas and Oklahoma in the SEC no matter what their vote said, this was widely known. You wanna stop paying them too?
@daddio159
@daddio159 Жыл бұрын
@@Lram2525 you’re clearly not understanding my comment. Comprehension is key before commenting, lol. I can spell it out if you like. Actually, I will, otherwise we may be here all day. Why take the money from SMU, then give it to the three schools? Meaning, take all the money, then reward only the three whiniest schools. Not equally share it with everyone in the league, but only reward the dissenters. Next time, ask a question rather than be a ja. Get it now, BUD?

@@daddio159 you said the same thing twice and it’s still nonsense which is why I’m commenting on it. If 3 politicians vote against a bill, but the bill still passes, are they not now allowed to use whatever utility the bill being passed causes? Just because they complained or maybe wanted it restructured doesn’t mean they are now left out of the entire thing. That is some elementary thought process and simply isn’t how real life works. Little life lesson for your ass 😅😅😅. Welcome to the adult world.

How many millions more would SMU get in attendance money from being in the ACC?
@MercerKnowsBall
@MercerKnowsBall Жыл бұрын
There is more Post Season Success Revenue than SMU gets in AAC TV Revenue NOW. There is more ACC Network Revenue than SMU gets in AAC TV Revenue NOW. SMU at least DOUBLES their money with this move compared to what they make NOW, PLUS like you said on Attendance. I have family in Ft Worth. Might go visit sometime and catch a game.

Agreed but I see the MWC getting aggressive with expansion. All of the power conferences would then be at 16 - 20 teams. The little conferences would follow suite. I can see the MWC grabbing OSU and WSU but keep going to also grab Tulsa, Memphis, Tulane, UTSA, UTEP, and North Texas. That would put them at 20 schools with 10 in each division. You can envision the alternates in there if they are unable to get any of those schools, such as Arkansas State, Texas State, Rice, New Mexico State, LA Tech, ect. I think this deal of Cal, Stanford and SMU will go through and that might be what Notre Dame needs to finally fully join into the ACC. ND joining as well might be enough to pacify the complainers in that conference and by extension have all of this realignment settle down within the power conferences. Once it does then that is when the jockeying and power grabbing goes on among the rest of the conferences. The MWC would be wise to look at jumping out in front of that.

Swarbrick is a@hole. ND could get at least Stanford into a conference in a second by joining the B1G. Get them both in by joining the ACC. No, ND wants to be a spectator and let others do the hard work. What momentum? There are strong rumors that more than 4 are against it, but had no reason to speak up once the other 4 did. Miami? If Miami votes yes and the two schools get in, will that cause the B1G to hold it against Miami later? I have no clue, but maybe, since the B1G wants to grab ACC schools and Miami is a borderline case. Adding two more schools may make it harder for FSU/etc. to get out of the ACC.

Just to reply about ND, I think they will eventually get squeezed with P4 scheduling once schools stop playing them. It would force them to join a conference.

If it would make ANY DIFFERENCE on teams getting out they wouldn't do it. But it doesn't make ANY DIFFERENCE on teams getting out so it will be DONE. These CLOWNS say it doesn't make sense. But they are CLOWNS. Not smart men at all.
