37 Minute Norwegian 4x4 Cardio HIIT Workout - Burn 334 Calories*
I really am enjoying these HIIT workouts lately. I mean, they're tough, don't get me wrong, but the afterburn and the endorphins are fabulous! I did one of these about a month ago, but this time, I am adding a longer low impact or light cardio warm up, to make sure we can really push it during the Sprint Intervals.

Format: start - 10 minute light or low impact cardio
4 Minute HIIT interval with a 3 minute low impact recovery. (4 rounds)

I love this style of HIIT, Tracy! I remember the first one you did a while back, and I'm happy you're doing this type of workout to switch things up now and then. 😁👍It's hard going all out for 4 minutes, but having the 3 minute low impact in between makes it do-able. It's so good for the body to do different styles of workouts, so the system has to adapt to whatever is thrown at it! Strength training is important, but we can't forget about training that cardio vascular system, as well.

Thank you so very, very much for these Norwegain 4 x 4 workouts!!! I am new to them...after years of doing old-school HIIT workouts, e.g., Insanity Interval/Cardio. I get a much higher training load (measured) doing these 4 x 4 workouts--& I now know I need to do more to increase my C.O. (compliance & chronotropic competence). Will be doing these 4 days a week for the next several weeks.

That was not even close to the Norwegian 4x4. In the active phase you should not be able to speak. Not even a single word. What you did here is medium intensity at best.

Well, maybe for you, but you do realize that everyone is at different levels, right? This will hit it for some. Plus, not everyone has access to a treadmill, or assault bike or rower. Would it be better on there? Sure! But we're doing what we can with what we've got. :)
