Love the MR2 body!! Wonder if the drywall tape and shoe goo trick would make it tougher.

I'm sure it would

What’s the wheelbase of this little RC? I have a 1/12th 3D printed body but I am unsure how to match it to an R/C frame.

Cool print/build. I have to say the pinion and spur are very noisy.
@77LaKoS772 жыл бұрын
Thats right, very noisy.
@rcprinter2 жыл бұрын
yup they are... I installed a 3d printed spur that could be it... it also could be the belts. Haven't had a chance to figure that out yet.
@77LaKoS772 жыл бұрын
@@rcprinter I think that are the gears. When i drive the MKUltra with the belts it's so quite, as the Robak.

@@77LaKoS77 ok, new spur has arrived so I'll give er a go soon.

@@77LaKoS77 Tried switching from the 3D printed spur to an associated plastic spur and am still getting the squeal. I get the same thing on my MkUltras. My guess is the belts.

Can this work with any body? Like a tamiya body or other?
@rcprinter10 ай бұрын
I haven't tried but if you check the files here: cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/veltro-1-10-rally-touring-car-chassis there are files for Tamiya Body Posts. In the description it says: "Any 190 mm touring or rally body can be fitted."

Can this be run on brushed motor aswell? It looks like it would fit.
@rcprinter Жыл бұрын
oh for sure... anything in a 540 size (~35mm diameter) would probably work well but it might start to get pretty hot if you want one that goes as fast as this one (13.5T brushless is what I have installed)

Love the Chanel and the website. Planning on building a few from the kits you offer. What tools do you recommend?
@rcprinter2 жыл бұрын
Depends on the project but the most important things would be hex drivers (handled or for a screw gun) and a soldering iron for your electronics.... and a 3D printer :) I find my dremel pretty useful as well but you can get by with a hacksaw and files for cutting up any metal bits.

He looks pretty cool, will consider adding to the list although its a bit out of my wheelhouse. That's a lot of servos to organize! The tablet they use is long discontinued so it would be good to see an update... I built a SMARS once and I was looking at the spotmicro although its still a work in progress so I wasn't sure how successful I'd be without being a competent programmer. Building these robots is the definitely the easy part, getting them to move properly takes much more skill.
