Yoo I’ve done my first snatch months ago and i hurt my back 😂😂😂 legit left myself with an injury lol. By any chance i can switch snatch with overhead squat? cause for sure its easier.

I would seek advice from a medical professional or chiropractor. I can't give you any info on the correct steps because I didn't see the injury happen, I don't know the severity of it, and it could be numerous things that need to be fixed in order to prevent the injury from happening again.

@@ConstantlyVariedFitness my for injury i had a osteopath and it was great now I’m just trying to get back slowly. However, the snatch imma need a professional coach for it honestly!! Thank you though

Weight was too much..snatch activates full body.. you should be strengthen these areas before increasing weight.. start with bar or 10 on each side and perfect the form then increase by 2.5-5lbs over time

Thank you so much for this video, I started cross-fit 3 month ago I am good with all the workouts except for the hang power snatch ugh, I struggle with the tall snatch because the weight get heavier during the tall snatch.

I liked it, but what do you think about the Snatch Balance? I think it is a good exercise to learn to stabilize

It's a great exercise, but if someone is lacking stability overhead, it's a very challenging exercise. If someone has really bad shoulder mobility/ stability, snatch balances are a little too aggressive in my opinion. They're a good exercise for someone that's more experienced, but struggles to snatch high percentages.

What is the reason for these funny kinds of exercise, why not just do proper liftings?

What do you classify as proper lifting? Deadlifts and bench press? Basketball, mountain climbing, and even yard work takes your body through different/ demanding movement patterns. Understanding the versatility of these exercises and utilizing them correctly can help people whether they are playing a sport or physical activity, as well as prevent injuries be strengthening muscles and joints through less common ranges of motion. "Proper lifting" is a vague and broad term used mostly by people in the bodybuilding space to sell you their workout programs. Also, the snatch exercise which is main lift used in this video helps improve proprioception, strength, power, speed, coordination, balance, and overall athleticism.

Snatch is the best exercise ever.. it’s a deadlift/shoulder press/squat in one exercise.. plus it’s great to work the heart.. it is the king!

Hudson do you do any of these with a pVC first then move to the barbell?

When first learning them, I would perform them with a PVC first every time until you become confident with the movement!
