I like that the recipes are "part" of the video, but that is not the sole reason for me for watching. My momma is part of a family of 10 kids and we always had all the grandkids in grandma's yard in the summertime. It is so much fun to be part of a big family and to me, it's like... the joy lives on in a lot of large family videos, for me at least. My mom is 76 right now and all the grandkids are in their 40s & 50s, with grown kids of their own. I like to keep that sense of family alive, and for me that is now through video. Thank you so much for making these!

Hi Amy. I found you 2 1/2 years ago when home in pandemic quarantine. You have become a friend and visit each morning with my coffee. Instead of depressing news! I def feel it has been a community. I shared when my Mom passed in 1/21 and had many kind responses. Now my sister started Hospice two weeks ago and steadily declining. I had so many kind messages and prayers. Same with happy times like birth of my new grandson 6 weeks ago etc. I appreciate being part of this kind and blessed community. Thank you! Enjoy the whole video no matter the content 😃

I used to make a variation of your Graham Cake recipe for my family and for pot luck dinners at church. Occasionally I was asked to make large ones for revival meetings that our local churches would host. I layered the pudding mixture with layers of graham crackers. Then top with cool whip and a few graham cracker crumbs. Put in the refrigerator overnight/ 24 hours and then the crackers would be soft. I never had any leftovers.

My Mother used the chocolate cookies you were talking about. She would used whipped up cream and cookies like cream and cookie do this until desired size. Thank you for sharing your vlogs

I make an Orzo Pasta Salad that is delicious 1 lb cooked orzo 2 medium seeded and diced zucchini 1 seeded and diced yellow or orange bell pepper 1 small diced red onion 1 pint cherry or grape tomatoes cut in half 1 cup you favorite pesto. I buy a jar of Barilla. Optional 1 cups kalamata olive 1 cup feta or Mozzarella cheese

Amy I don't know if you ever heard of "snail houses". They are little traps, basically consisting of a container, and a lid that allows for "crawl space". You fill it up with beer, any cheap beer will do, and they get drawn to it, crawl in & drown. Usually slugs come towards it, sometimes snails. I think you can get these most places that biologically garden. When our container is full, we dig a hole in the ground, pour the beer & slugs in, hose the trap down and fill it back up. We catch a lot!

Your ice cream desserts all look so yummy. I have made homemade cookies ie chocolate chip, peanut butter and sugar cookies, let cool. Scoop your favorite ice cream flavor between 2, wrap individual and set in freezer. Allow to thaw a few minutes before serving. A great hit with my family. Love your videos, always so uplifting. Hello Amy! Way too late for me today but still..... I love your ice cream. My favorite ice cream is to spred some greec youghurt in a pan covered with wax paper in half an inch layer, cut up some fresh berries and sprinkle berries and some mini chocolate chips on the yoghurt. So so good and easy. Keep in the freezer.

This may not be "huge", but my dad is 75 and has 4 bottom teeth left; he refuses to go to the dentist and so long story short, he's off his food. He can only chew so much. My mom just recently got the idea to buy a blender and is now, every evening, as a "dessert", blending 4 fruits (banana, apple, orange, pear), 2 heaping spoons of Skyr yogurt (plain) and some milk. He *loves* it, drinks 2 glasses' worth of it, and is very slowly gaining back the weight he had lost (it was really getting bad). Some foods, we often don't stop and think, are just a no for babies and toddlers, or the elderly, and maybe that deserves some attention as well? IDK. Just throwing some ideas out there and thinking out loud. If I spot anything with crunch (recipe), I immediately go: can't do that. Have parents to consider.

not sure if someone told you but if you freeze your bananas before you put them in the chocolate, you will freeze your chocolate and you won't be able to cover the banana properly (pardon my french, litterally lol)

You’ve been a very busy beaver today, whilst I sat on my bum all day resting after cooking up a storm yesterday! I love that you managed to get so much done, love managing to get stuff done that’s been on my to do list for a while. Your kids are going to love all those desserts, all that sugars going to have some hyperactivity, I don’t envy you lol.. while you were making the desserts I noticed you were microwaving food in plastic containers, I know not everyone cares about doing that but please be aware that unless it is safe for microwave use you are putting the nasty chemicals in the plastic into your food which I know you really don’t want to be giving to your kids. I think I commented something similar about hot food in plastic containers the other day but it really is dangerous… anyway….thank you so much for the awesome videos as always, you reminded me of the fridge cake my mum used to make using ginger biscuits and cream, so yummy and easy to do!
