And the kids, too. His main argument seems to boil down to, "If you don't let me live like a Roman emperor and be my servant, then the kids will HATE you for taking their fun dad away!" Dude, when you actually talk to kids who grow up with fathers like this, most of them have nothing but contempt for him. Their negative emotions toward their mother, if they have any, are all about, "Why did she put up with this our whole lives."

My sister physically, mentally and even sexually abused me. I never once hit her back. The worst thing I said to her is that she is so dumb the fact I'm related to someone who's that stupid makes me want to puke and that was after she tried to attack me with a wine bottle and bit me because I pinned her down. I know she was embarrassed but she shouldn't have tried to attack me in the first place lol that's why I never hit back I always knew I'm stronger than her. Anyways it really gives me pause when I hear or see kids that bully their siblings. I know it's been normalized in the media but it's really not normal. All throughout my childhood I never once wanted to hurt someone that didn't hurt me first, whether emotionally or physically and I think it's a really bad sign if a kid does, they are bidding psychopaths.

I don't even understand how much gall they have to even ask her to help her abuser. My sister and I are incredibly close and if it would happen to her, I'd donate no question. She wouldn't have to ask but on the flip side, I, as her big sister, would NEVER let her donate to me. We have a five year age gap so I feel like she has more life to live and I wouldn't let her risk her life for me but I would gladly give her a second chance at it over and over again.

9 years ago I quit my dead end job and became a homemaker. It gave me chance to persue my art. But here's the thing, my husband agreed to it. He was making enough money for me to not have to work. Nothing wrong with having your S.O. as your artistic patron but it has to be agreed to. I never was commercially successful. But it was still wonderful to have that much free time. I was able to provide a lot of unpaid labor for our families and community because he was paying our bills. But he was always so supportive and appreciative of that unpaid labor. In 2019 i went back to school for architectural drafting which he supported and paid for. He said i deserved it because it was my work at home that allowed him to get to a place career wise, where he could afford to pay for my associates degree in the first place. This is how you tag team success. Not by being a mooching starving artist. There has to be reciprocity.

And can change my own oil, do basic carpentry, do some plumbing, etc. When I gained those skills a magical transformation occurred; I saw a lot men for the insecure toddlers they are. I’m a professional artist and AVOID dating other artists. Female artists are usually grounded with more discipline while male artists are often narcissistic AF. Which is why many are “artists”. They don’t want to adult and choose an occupation where they can use being uninspired/misunderstood as an excuse. And a lot of women think artists are more sensitive or whatever. Avoid those guys, please! I don’t have an older sister but I grew up with an older girl cousin I worshipped. She seemed so cool but she was sooooo mean and bullying to me. I haven’t heard from her for decades but if she asked me for a kidney I’d probably laugh in her face. That mean sister probably has health problems because she’s mean. I had a friend that was home on disability. He had heart problems and literally did have a few neurological issues from an accident so he actually did need a list to remind him of things. Guess what? He actually looked at the list a few times a day and got stuff done. His health, including his heart problems did NOT prevent him from doing basic household care. His wife, eldest daughter, and stepson all worked. I think his stepson had school and work. His granddaughter was in daycare and his youngest daughter was still in elementary school, so he was the only one home all day. I think everyone prepared the meals together. So, this guy literally had some physical and mental limits, but they didn't make him forget HOW to do things even though he needed the list simply to focus a little better. This was 25 years ago and his was already in his 50's then.

There's already videos on KZbin on how to do household chores. I looked up how to clean a glass top stove, cuz I never had 1 b4 & the people (the meth heads!) who moved out b4 me left it a crusty mess & I didn't want to scratch it. Watched a couple different tutorials to see what all products & methods they were using then I cleaned up the stove. You can also watch those types of videos for background noise when you sleep. I usually watch cooking shows when I'm trying to sleep.

**Kidney Donation story - IMPORTANT** If *anyone* ever tries to pressure and guilt-trip you into donating against your enthusiastic consent, and you feel unsafe or unsupported in saying No - Go ahead and schedule your “prospective donor’s evaluation and testing” Once in private with the doctor(s) *TELL THEM YOU ARE BEING PRESSURED AGAINST YOUR WILL* and that you do NOT want to donate. The transplant doctor will “find the tissue incompatible” or “discover underlying issues that disqualify this prospective donor” - because taking from an unwilling donor is a legal and ethical violation that could see the doctor stripped of their license. EDIT : I wrote this out before the video covered the comments saying the same thing

Donating a kidney is no simple matter. I love my brother, but no, I wouldn’t do this. The only people I would do this for is my children, and my husband. The only reason I would do it for my husband is because he is the primary breadwinner, and he needs to stay alive for my kids stability. People act like it’s no big deal to throw a kidney around.

Exactly! I was a teenager when that Golden Girls ep first aired about Blanche's sister needing a kidney. Dorothy said she would definitely do it for one of her kids but not sure if she would for a sibling. That got me thinking this: I have no siblings but I have other family I love and treasure. However, if I had kids, I doubt I'd want to donate an organ to other relatives in case one of my kids needed one from me some day.

I don’t think it’s a good idea even if the sister was a perfect angel to her. Personally the only person in this world who could make this request from me is my child. When I heard that story I sat my sisters down and told them they cannot donate anything to anyone but plasma and blood and if they need a meanie enforcer I'll be it even if they're stupid enough to agree I'll be coming in hot on the kibosh, *_they are not donating the unreplenishables and I'll make sure of it_* even of I'm the one dying.

I believe in karma even if others don't want to (I'm sure y'all believe but I've seen some delusional axxholes lol claiming that karma doesn't exist because they don't like it.... Okay but that doesn't make it go away 😂☠️). I don't believe her medical issues are by chance. She is reaping what she sewed throughout her life. Again, I do not believe in blaming children for nasty hearts. My 3 daughters aren't nasty little shxxts EXCEPT a period of time my oldest to the middle was awful. But there were outside issues causing it. I was able to step in at ages 3ish & 1ish & from that point there hasn't been that kind of deeply awful issues. & especially not with the youngest against the older 2. (7,5,3 years old with the 2 oldest birthdays coming up late April & early May, youngest isn't until November) I would never turn a blind eye to mistreatment between my daughters if ever it comes up again, parents need to intervene & not allow shxx like that poor woman literally traumatized by her bully axx dying sister 🤦‍♀️ you may not be able to change the child (by the grace of God it was genuinely outside issues causing problems & not seemingly a truly ill-willed heart naturally) but you sure as hell better not allow mistreatment between the children. If one wants to be a hateful bitxx then they can do that in their own home one day & not in yours! It bothers me when I hear stories like this because there can't be anything other than willful blindness from the parents 🤦‍♀️

I wouldn't donate if i was her. But i don't mind my family ostracizing me and calling me selfish, because i am.

I refuse to believe that man was not trolling. I know it is probably 50/50, because men be whill'in, but I choose to believe he was trolling for my own sanity.

Just to inform many who don't know about oragan donation. Things aren't the way they use to be. Now, ANY member of the family can now donate!! You don't need to be a match. So it's a "pool" system where someone donates somewhere and someone somewhere else donates. They check the donor list and match people accordingly. My cousin's husband did this. He and my cousin were not matches, but he donated his kidneys. Someone else got his, and my cousin received one of the donation "pool". I say all this to say, ANYONE IN THE FAMILY CAN JUMP TO DONATE !!!!
