But we can actually put that aside as the bigger issue is discrepancy of the scripts and rarely do directors have anything to do with scripts. The whole tank chase scene in Goldeneye is just perfect especially when he stops the tank to fix his tie. The perfect amount of overtop gadgetry, multiple cool locations, a touch of cold war shenanigans, a nice variety of memorable and credible villians, with a bond who is the right mix pf witty, sophisticated and dangerous. Goldeneye is up there with Goldfinger as the Quintessential bond film.

Pierce Brosnan is an underrated actor in general. Hes best acting though, was as James Bond, and in my book he was the best Bond Ever. They took a 6 years break after Licence to Kill in 1989 (Which was a pretty good Bond film), but when they came back with GoldenEye in 1995 I was blown away! I saw it in cinema. I also like the PC game based on that film. Everything was perfekt with that film. Sean Bean was brilliant as Alec Trevelyan and Famke Janssen as Xenia Onatopp was the best female villain ever. Best Bond villain over all! "She did always enjoy a goodsqueeze", as Bond said when she was finished. Izabella Scorupco as Natalya Simonova was the best good Bond girl ever! (Everythings's fine? Everything except the interuption. Lol) Judi Dench appearing as Q was also a very good news. There are several other great actors in this film, like Robbie Coltrane as Valentin Zukovsky, Tchéky Karyo as defence minister Dimitri Mishkin, Gottfried John as Colonel Ourumov and let us not forget Alan Cumming as Boris Grishenko. I love how BB inspired the dark reboot of James Bond. Well needed change of pace. I still love Brosnan Bond for what he is and I locket love his Brosnan Bond’s humous quips (especially after he kills or knock someone unconscious) 😂✅ but I also love the cold and calculated reimagined Daniel Craig Bond. While every Bond was great, to me, all the other actors only played variations of the same character, with no one actor that could unify everything that made Bond so likeable and compelling. Pierce Brosnan, on the other hand, *IS* Bond. He had everything down, from the line delivery, to his appearance, to his coolness, to his charm and suaveness, to even his coldness and vulnerability. He single-handedly saved an otherwise okay at best set of films, with GoldenEye being the only one that could stand on it's own. His Bond pretty much encapsulates the type of Bond that would get parodied in pop culture. And I love him for that. 😊

The Broccoli family admitted they waited too long and they never should've hired Timothy Dalton.

In my opinion he was the perfect amalgamation of the best bits of all the Bonds before him. The stoic masculinity of Sean Connery; the charm, humour and refined gentlemanly demeanour of Roger Moore; the gritty assassin/spy practicality of Timothy Dalton; while bringing his own charisma and good looks. A good balance of action and humour. Batman Begins and the Dark Knight had a lot to do with rebooting James Bond and adopting that gritty realism style. Daniel Craig did fit that serious style, but I still prefer Bond with a bit of charisma.

I got to say that whoever loves Brosnan check out hiis actual final appearance... The amazing video game Everything or Nothing. A wonderful cast and story, yes Pierce, Judy and John Cleese voice it. Heidi Klum, Shannon Elizabeth and Mya, who does the original theme song as the Bond girls and amazing Willem Defoe as the villain who is related to Max Zorrin. Oh and Jaws makes an appearance. The locations, story, action, script are all wonderful. You play as Bond by show, fighting, using gadgets. You can drive the Vanquish Astin Martin, you have an amazing high speed chase with Jaws and then the finale is typical Brosnan Bond over the top invoking Kremlin and platinum tanks... The plot is a typical industrialist, protégé of Zorrin has potentially the ability to use nanotechnology to destroy metal and render the militaries of the world useless... So all the twists and turns and exotic locations etc you have to save the day. There's great gadgets, Vanquish has gadgets, you have Bond quips, advice from M and Q/R... It is available on PlayStation2 and Xbox I believe, is super cheap to buy and if you can i am sure it is easy to emulate. Yes it's a game from 15 years ago but it is very repayable with ranks, secrets, side missions and different ways to do things. I hope one day it gets a remaster because it is absolutely brilliant and a great final Brosnan Bond outing. I literally count it as one. Besides the opening, Rosamund Pike (next to Eva Green she is best Bond girl) I thought DAD was a let down but this is a really good send off and I urge anyone who can to play it because it is very overlooked and brilliant! Big 👍 to all Bond fans around the world! Let's enjoy No Time To Die!

Biased since I grew up watching his portrayal but Pierce Brosnan is the definitive Bond for me. He embodied everything that made the character so cool: suave, charming, playful, cocky and witty yet lethal and aloof but had an underlying warmth beneath the ruthlessness. He just looked the part with the suits, the cars, the gadgets and the women.
