Thank you Mahsa for sharing your home! I’m in course A1, so I would have loved seeing the items being described in Turkish, but it was good practice for me to identify the objects in Turkish.

Thank you Mahsa for showing your home! Where do you do your laundry?
@istanbulbird Жыл бұрын
You’re welcome! Actually we didn’t show it in the video but in the hallway the first wardrobe has my laundry stuff in it :) not a big space but enough for one person 😊

@istanbulbird Is it a washer? that's what I was looking for because I heard that, in Turkiye, it is usually kept in the bathroom.
@istanbulbird Жыл бұрын
@@lmc1966 it's a normal washing machine, and yes in most Turkish houses you find washing machine in the bathroom, some houses have an extra laundry room but my house has a small bathroom and it didn't fit there so that's the reason :)

Honestly, I can't bring myself to consider moving there long-term. Every time I fly over there, all I hear from locals is how they are expecting a major earthquake to hit Istanbul within the next 10 years and ruin everything. Not very motivating honestly. I plan on going in two weeks and that keeps coming to my mind after the major earthquake this year.

I live in the United States, more specifically NYC. Did you say that you're only paying 1,500 Turkish lira? That's only $52.82 in American dollars. That's unbelievable! THAT'S DIRT CHEAP! It's a beautiful apartment and spacious! I wish that you had let us see inside the laundry closet so that we could have seen your washing machine and dryer and also inside the coat closet. Why didn't you have the camera come around to let us look inside?

1500 liraya kira yok. İmkansız. Kiralar şehirden şehire değişebilir ama 5 bin liradan az kira yok. Türkiye'de kiraya eşyalar dahil değil ayrıca

I pay around 1000 lira for bills from my bank app, I have the bills of water-electricity-gas-internet-mothers phone- mothers shop's water&electric, We pay 4000 for rent but that's super cheap due to inflation but if move out now we pay much more, she is a foreigner ( legally not so trustworthy ) plus lives in a furnished house, the rent is very very good, I also studied in Üsküdar, quiet lively place, can go out buy snacks at midnight easily
