+apex128 I'd agree. He struck me as the type that enjoys owning, and building, a car more than he does driving it. A good driver can recognize another good driver. A bad driver doesn't know what good is.

Driving a fast car fast is when you drive your new Hellcat ($100k) off the dealer lot and you floor it and end up in a ditch 5 min later. My 175 HP Honda doesnt have that risk and i do 0-60 in 6.5. Not bad for a $5k car.

I live up in Washington State. I own an AP1 S2000, in the fall I will be turbocharging it. Currently I have a Supercharged EM2 Civic with a K20 swap. It's a load of fun, but stiff motor mounts do take away from the ride. I plan to get some softer bushings in the future but, I want to re-do the exhuast system prior to that. As stated though if you up in my neck of the woods give a holler.

I'm guessing you are running a 4.2" pulley @ 15psi?? What size injectors are you running? What other significant mods did you make? And how did you get it to pass smog? I ask because my AP1 has the same CT-E SC with the Novi 1200 running on the stock 4.8" pulley @6psi making ~281whp 173wtrq. My future goal is to get above 400whp, but i am a little hesitant to move forward due to Cali smog. Nevertheless, your AP2 is nice!

...or in the rain, LOL. Even though I've driven a lot of powerful cars and am 43, I don't think I have quite the discipline to boost my s2k that far while minding enough restraint for goosing it in the wrong situation (such as....party time in L.A..... Mulholland 2AM, heh). I've got a near-stock (pads&tire upgrades only) AP1 '03 sazuka blue w/80K here, btw.... loooove it!!! I'm mulling over some bolt-ons: intake+exhuast w/ SC to get another 50 or so hp, probably a Roots as they're better for lower-end torque (or so I've gathered). Car is fine to me above 5k rpm, just below could use some help. Not sure on how my AP1 likes ECU changes, though - VTEC @ 5200 or so rpm would be admittedly pretty sweet. Lurking s2ki forums now and then. Anyway, thanks for all the viddys! ...and another 'hells yeah' vote for Scott getting an NSX and FI-ing that mofo ;-)

@tomjones51663 жыл бұрын
@@MiegmaishMenas There is a big difference in gearing between the S2000 and 911, so much so that the S2000 maxes out 2nd gear at 56mph while the 911 is 79mph. You have to drive the 911 much faster to enjoy it at redline compared to the S2000.

whats the diffrence between the ap1 and ap2
@S2kTi7 жыл бұрын
A lot of suspension and tire differences. The AP1 is more snappy and tail happy. The AP2 is a bit more balanced. The ap1 is a 2 liter that revs to 9000 RPM's where the AP2 is a 2.2 liter that revs to 8000 RPMs. They make the same hp but the AP2 has a bit more power down low. The AP2 has some minor interior changes to the ap1 depending on the year you get. The AP2 has shorter gear ratios and carbon syncros. Although, I recently heard that the ap1 got the carbon syncros in 02. Not 100% sure on that tho.

Rev limiter raised to 8400rpm.. I thought these things were supposed to rev to 10,000rpm or near it depending on which engine you got? Is this an American crap version of a cool motor like the e36 m3? You should have showed us the kit!

The 2.0 liter (F20C) from the AP1 and non-North-American market AP2 is set to 9k from the factory, the 2.2 liter (F22C) from the North American AP2 is 8200. Scott: how did you (or your tuner) decide that 8400 is safe?
