I thought the same thing. However, it is a moot point, since either way the magnum is a 2-shot kill up close if you hit the chest or stomach. While a 1.1x multiplier has no effect on the long-range damage, I don't count this since you SHOULDN'T use the magnum at long range anyway.

You aren't the only one who likes Dirty Harry. On Battlelog for BF3, and part of the description of the .44 magnum says " This particular model features a ported barrel, a compact frame for easy carry, and of course, a round that will blow your head clean off." whoever made that description had to have seen Dirty Harry. They even put the incorrect fact, " A .44 magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world" I like how they also are reminded of Dirty Harry by the .44 magnum.

Your pretty much best tip to control the recoil is to shoot at around 400 RPM. 1475 centerspeed is pretty damn good, and allowing small delay between shots will make the .44 magnum much more accurate, while still being within a reasonable comfort zone for players.

.44 magnum is one of those guns that i tend to get that badass feeling when see headshot come across the screen.

Your best review Amish! I have 1200 kills with the magnum in game and I'm not even a high prestige yet! Anyone in my line of fire gets OWNED if I have the magnum in my hands. Although when you said the magnum had high recoil I disagreed. Compared to the Desert Eagle the magnum's recoil is TINY!

it is, its the most powerful production handgun cartridge. it was introduced in February 2003. you can make it more powerful if you hand load your own rounds.

I think that the knifing system should be tweaked, but a one-hit kill. Pressing R3 (Or whatever it is on the 360 controller) it could pull the knife out as a weapon (Like in the SOG Campaign in Black Ops) and could behave the same way. This way, switching to it would be harder if you had an LMG, as it realistically wouldn't be as quick as carrying a pistol.

Did you see the live com? What they did was make the lunge range for the knife less. You have a regular knife (which you don't need to pull out) and a Combat Knife (to pull out). Not everybody will have a Combat Knife to pull out (some people will use secondaries).

You have it backwards. I'm looking at a comparison picture right now: the .50 AE cartridge is actually LARGER than the .44 Magnum, which makes Desert Eagles chambered for this cartridge more powerful than the .44 Magnum revolver. This is why the Desert Eagle has such tremendous recoil. However, the Desert Eagle in-game probably uses .41 or. 44 Magnum cartridges, since it has an 8 round magazine, as opposed to the previous 7 round mag (which would indicate it using .50 AE cartridges)

The AA-12 200 meters range is because of the gauges use not by the shootgun itself, a lot of shotguns can use the same round.

Meh. The 44 just doesn't do it for me. I rarely, if ever, get a 2-hit kill, and I ALWAYS empty the magazine anyway, because waiting to see if I got a 2-hit kill gets ME killed. I'd rather spam shots with my P99. Higher firecap, higher capacity.

My only gripe is that while I love all the Dirty Harry clips, they're sadly from a different revolver. The true "Dirty Harry" is the Smith and Wesson Model 29, and in MW3, the 44 is a Colt Anaconda. Either way, the .44 Magnum in real life is just a beast lol

The Desert eagle fires an AE round though, its quite smaller than the .44 magnum, although the 500 magnum outclasses ALL handguns in the entire world.

I loved it but it was so good mainly because the competition wasn't that great. The 44. Magnum in MW2 matches or outperforms the Python in pretty much every regard and is clearly a better weapon, but it wasn't used as much as it faced very stiff competition from shotgun secondaries and machine pistols. That said, Akimbo Pythons with Sleight of Hand was pure joy. I got several aces in SnD using only those.

I know how this is totally the wrong way to use a sniper, but I loved in BF3 how you could attach a RDS to your sniper, and I wish they did that here. I always loved running around taking out shotguns and SMGs at ease

Personally, I use the magnum tact knife on my sniping class, and the akimbo's on my riot shield class. I think Black Ops has a 2 hit kill nice system, with a perk that makes you use 2 knives instead of one. It may have been fanfiction or speculation, but its still plausible.

Definately. Make it so it's single action which will make the rate of fire slow, and yeah I wanna see Tac knife, ACOG, and Snub nose (no akimbo as it's single action and no speed reloader because I like WAW/MW2/MW3 way of reloading)...

reload cancel works best with the 44 as soon as the cilinder is emptied in the animation the ammo is in the magazine allready you don't have to wait for the whole animation to finish

Yes in diameter the .50AE is bigger - of course it is it's a 50! But in length of the cartridge the .44 Magnum is slightly larger, I'm pretty sure the .44 has more velocity but the .50AE has more energy, and again the .500Magnum beats them all at both velocity AND power!

You know, they said they were going to re work the knife in MW3 before too. Doesn't mean it won't be whored out for the entire lifespan of the game. Long as the lunge is gone, i'll be happy. .44 magnum is the best though, Always loved the python in Blops, and the .44 in mw2. I hope the revolver in blops 2 is worth using.

I was in a free for all with 4 other guys (pm) They all had .44 magnums akimbo and I had the .44 magnum Tac knifed and I won. I like both versions of the gun. Both are awesome in their own way.

Center speed is the speed your gun resets to its original point. 1500 is average 1600 is good 1700 is great and 1800 and above is flat out awesome.

I loved the python in black ops. Most of the others i really hated. But when i pulled out a python in blackops, (even zombies) i turn from newb to pro. That fast. The python was my baby. .44 Magnum= Best Pistol and BADASS! Little recoil, Strong Rounds (Up Close), and feeling like Dirty Harry! Simply Awesome! Desert Eagle= shit. The Recoil and Irons ruin it. Even with Akimbo the gun kicks like CRAZY! Idk why some people like this gun...just look at some of the comments below. MP412: Ehhhh.......it's uhhh ok I guess. Sorry MP412 fans the gun is just my bad luck charm. Plus the reloads are PAINFULL!!

Amish, i though the 44. magnum had 1.1 damage multipliers to the body. If it's 1.4 like you say it is, the gun would be a 2-5 hit kill but, you said it was a 2-6.
