Okay, real talk: I’m having a morning. Anxiety through the roof, feeling vulnerable, family problems, friendship problems, guy problems (*puke*); you name it, I’m over thinking every little thing. I started this work out, got about 10 minutes in. I’m still new to my heavier weights and it was making it super difficult so I got really frustrated with myself. All the sudden I just started bawling 😭. For some reason my emotions got the better of me. I had to pause and just have myself a good cry. I never cry. But man apparently I needed it. I let the dust settle and got right back into it and finished this epic work out. I balanced my weights from heavy to lighter, because I’m just trying to listen to my body but also push myself. This journey has been pretty cathartic. It’s not always smiles and rainbows. You connect with some deep parts about yourself and I’m allowing those feelings to happen because I never used to. I’m normally hurrying them. But fitness is really changing it up for me. It’s keeping me going. Caroline, thank you! From the bottom of this icy heart that’s starting to thaw out finally. 🥲

Shoulder day is always the best! I’m so excited to try this (but my shoulders are not very excited). And the format looks very fun! Ps the pyramid leg workout was also super good, I love how Caroline is so creative with the workouts! This program seems too good to be free, yet here we have it!

What a week this has been, Monday the Arms were pumped beyond belief, Tuesday the Legs got incinerated and today my Shoulders feel as though they have been been put through the shredder. Definitely some excellent pre-workout advice from Caroline, I am always really careful with shoulders as its very easy to strain them. So today I did 12.5Kg DB for the presses and 10Kg for the complex and the lats. The complex is such a burner, you so wanna set those DB down if only for a few seconds, however battled on through and the burn was intense. I really feel EPIC II is building on the great work of it predecessor and in the last week I can really see some major development. Really nice to see a lot more guys joining and getting great results. A few of my mates always say the gym, huffing, puffing and throwing plates about is a better option however when they have tried EPIC they cant keep up with me.I have said to them, come the end of EPIC II I will happily compare results. Caroline super week so far, the planning has been awesome and workouts are so good, see you and everyone on Friday. (wish it was warm enough for a T Shirt)

My favorite week so far I think! I'd pick Epic ll and Caroline's workouts over gym weightlifting and reps any day! Haha. I think it's overall harder and way more fun!

Jesus Christ, what a banger. Went with 5kg Dumbells and was dying after the first complex but somehow I managed to push through. It's incredible what your body can do if you trick your mind sometimes. Thank you again for this wonderful challenge, I'm feeling more proud of me everyday :)

I’m late to the Girvan party as I just started doing some of her workouts one-off in June 2022. I finally built up the commitment to start this series in mid December. I’m loving this and the structure!! I think my Pilates classes helped me build some core strength but Caroline is getting me the rest of the way, Thank You!

Thank you Caroline for yet another great workout. Sadly it will be my last for a while as I go into hospital tomorrow for an operation on my leg that will take me out for weeks if not months. However, at least I go knowing I am as strong as I can be thanks to following your EPIC programme and other classes and I will have the rest of EPIC II and more to look forward to on my recovery journey. Holy moly my shoulders are still burning Connection Pointe my legs and calves are so killing me from the leg workout I'm sure my shoulders will be killing me even more tomorrow. So so happy today is an active rest day, will do something but will not be lifting a weight that is for sure, LOL! Caroline, I have to say this week these workouts have been intense but I'm loving every minute of it! I could not wait to do the body weight version of working my shoulders while doing the pike push-ups I thought I was going to fall on my Noggin and then oh and then doing the shoulder tap in Pike push-up position OMG I felt everything in my shoulders are burning but it was oh so good! Congratulations for those that have finished and I'm sure you're burning still today! Good luck to those who have not done it yet it is a real burner for the shoulder but you will love every minute of it. 💯💯🌈🌈💪🏻💪🏻👊🏻👊🏻💟💟🙏🏻🙏🏻

Did this workout today and really loved the burn. I did only use 15lbs but I wanted to make sure I was lifting the weight with my shoulders and not using momentum to get the dumbbell up. I did lower my weight to 12lbs for the around the worlds. Thanks Caroline for you awesome workouts.

Excellent workout. I liked the variety of shoulder exercises. Caroline does a great job of incorporating challenging exercises into an appropriate design for the body. Through her training I’ve gotten stronger and my body is now properly trained. I feel I’m less prone to injury now, since I’ve learned correct body alignment, proper weights for me, and now I rest between exercises. Thank you Caroline!

I was doing the most ridiculous dances to the beat, to shake off my shoulders and prepping for the next round 😂😂 I used 8kgs, but multiple times scaled down to my 4s! The compunds were all performed with my 4s! I hope one day I'll be as strong as you and all those who followed along without scaling down their weights 💖

I scaled down a lot more than I usually do, although I was able to go back up intermittently as it went on (still not as heavy as the weights she uses, but not a total loss).

I am slowly realizing you don't really need a heavier weight to get definition. I have been using pretty much 8lb dumbbells throughout her whole workouts I have to 10 pound plates that I used and 3 weighted bars 20 * 10 lb 5 lb and use them sparingly for certain exercises and I myself am getting really good definition. I think it's the complexity and I also tried to change up the tempo from time to time. 💪🏻💪🏻💯💯

Shoulder workouts are a different kind of mind work which I absolutely ADORE!!!! I used 2kg each and 3kg each, switching to lighter for rear delt flyes and other more straining exercises. The weight choices were perfect for me. Got a solid burn all the way through! I already felt it after the first two exercises and I was like “hehh only 2% in but okay”😂😂. Arms and shoulders with you Caroline is my absolute favorite! Thank you thank you thank you❤️

I am able to do "Around the world" with 20lb dumbbells now!!! Granted they are very slow and controlled so that I can keep my form, but all in all my shoulders are definitely getting stronger!!!

LOVING Epic 2 - Epic 1 tested me in every way and I learned what mettle I possess, but Epic 2 is focusing so much on the muscles I broke out in during EPIC 1 - perfect segue Caroline! @@matthewalmond4688 afternoon Matthew, it definitely was a tough one for the shoulders today, I went between 6kg an 8kg which left me on 🔥🔥🔥 😁 good job the sun is out and managed an hour on the sunbed for a bit of R&R 😎

Proud of myself today! I used 15 lb dumbells throughout. The only time I dropped weight (down to 10lb x2) was for Around the World.. and I still managed a few reps with the 15s first.

Round 2 I used 2 x 17.5 lbs, all except for Around the Worlds, for which I dropped to 15's.

Biceps and triceps still sore from Monday, legs sore from yesterday.... Shoulders have now been destroyed too 😂💪... Can't wait for Rest day tomorrow, a stretch is definitely needed! Looking forward to Friday, bodyweight only?!.... Quietly confident that this is giving me a false sense of security 😂. Loving life right now! 💪🥰❤️

You did absolutely awesome Caroline! You have such amazing control. I've never seen anyone lift weights with elegance until I find your channel.😉I lifted 15 lb for all the exercises except around the worlds, lateral raises and upright row to frontal raise. During the complexes I had to drop to 10 lbs just for the lateral raises. The slow frontal raise was very challenging and the finisher.

I've never had definition in my arms until I started doing Caroline's workouts so now I look forward to arm/shoulder days. I could feel myself getting stronger throughout the workout. OBSESSED with epic 1 & 2 so far

When Caroline said "Strong" I knew I needed two sets of weights! 8kg on the first set, 6kg on the second set. The feeling of Amazing when you are done!

Saw your comment and thought what a great idea! So for me it was 15lb first set and 12lb the second. This worked out so great for me, as the second set being slightly lighter I was able to get in a few more reps and so it made the second set equally as hard as the first. I was very happy by the end of this routine. Wanted to go back and tell you Thank you for such a great idea. At no time did I have to drop or stop any of the weights because of this format.

Oh my gosh. I am so excited I am almost freaked out. I did 5.5 kg, and I felt so strong I didn't need to take breaks. I have never been able to go that close to the weight Caroline is using. AND this week I did my first legit diamond pushups. What's next?! Pistol squats?! Caroline is magic!

Caroline, each workout is like a new surprise. Though, interesting, challenging and so enjoyable. I n such a short time, just 5 months I train with you I feel so much stronger and see the results. I used to train and swim for years and never achieved such visible results. For me, this format: the super high level, the option to train when it suits me at home, ☺️ with such a kind, intelligent and professional trainer , is more then perfect. After the first exercise I honestly did not know how i would able to get through the entire workout just working shoulders. But, as always, Caroline worked her magic and sequenced the exercises in such an effective way that it was doable (despite being sooooooo challenging). Thank you Caroline. Ah my shoulders! Did this one tonight after the back rows today (out of order I know) and it all feels so good! Your workouts are actually calming and fun. No crazy yelling, no flashing lights or stages, just honest work. Just what we need when we need it. Thanks Caro. ❤️❤️❤️

wow, what a crazy shoulder workout hahaha but I made it all the way!!! just took pauses where I needed. definitely went with my lighter weights for this routine. the repetition and shoulder only focus makes it that much more challenging. :)

I am always a day behind.. i just finished the day18 workout and i am still sweating 😓 profusely 😂 unlike caroline i look like a out of breath panda 🐼 with hairs going in all different direction 😆 but i am happy with the consistency...!!!!💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

I am new here, I am also new to strength training. I've been following epic2 (switching between 2.5 and 5kilos) and I am so happy to see my body tone. A burner it is. I saw Caroline going with a lighter weight I went lighter too and was damn right to do so. The complex, jeez I was feeling my muscles expanding and getting pumped. I used 2x7.5kg Dumbbells. 💪💥💥

I’ve done this several times and I have to say this is my favorite shoulder workout from Caroline. The complex is very fatiguing yet there’s so much variety throughout. Thank you Caroline! ❤

I did itttt! so glad that I rebounded after failing the lower body workout yesterday. I completed exactly half of yesterday's workout, but I think I'll make another attempt sometime in the future. Today I used approximately 6 kg, and I'm happy with that :-D

Epic II day 19 done ✅ Holy moly! You hear that sound? That’s my shoulders crying after being tortured for 45 minutes straight 😂🤣😅 The complexes were particularly mean and by the time it got to the pike push ups, I was on my knees, literally 😆 HOW does Caroline use 8kg for these exercises?! I had to keep stopping to go and get a lighter weight. Now I understand why she looks the way she does, and I look the way I do 🤣

This was so much harder than I thought it was going to be. I did the whole session with basically just my lighter set of weights and actually through two attempts - the first attempt only lasted about 7 minutes before I knew I didn't have it in me. I'm always impressed by your strength, Caroline. Its so encouraging training with you because I look at where you are now and try to imagine where you started. That gives me hope. Thanks, Caroline!
