I pray for this mother and little girl, I would hope this rich family would extend their finances to help pay for this beautiful little girl to Grow up happy and healthy and have all the benefits and privileges she should have. Just because her father was a monster shouldn't destroy her legacy. These women who come here to America and marry these wealthy men that they honestly know nothing about are asking for trouble. You can't buy happy ever after. Money is the root of all evil, not the key to happy ever after. If you think money will make you happy you are sorely mistaken. Our legal system requires a vigorous defense, or the lawyer is in trouble with their licensing board. Most know their client is guilty, but that is not the point - that judgement is for the jury. The lawyer just has to defend them, and see that they are given a fair trial (all the rules are obeyed.) Most of the time they have to come up with elaborate lies, and they know it, but that is the system. The defendent deserves representation. In this case, it's obvious she didn't try too hard; she knew he'd get convicted.
