I have seen a million true crime stories where someone hired a private eye. This is the first one I've seen where the guy actually solved the case.

There’s one where a woman solves the case by pretending to be helping the killer find his missing wife, even fakes romantic interest in him briefly to get further. In the end he does lead her to the body, pretending to find his wife randomly, and the case is solved because she’d begun working for the police and they had her recording it. I am totally blanking on the name though, but I think it should be a movie…it’s pretty cool when the private investigator is able to do what the cops can’t (or won’t).

The comment, "it's Russia, you buy it", in regards, to how she obtained access to the CCTV cameras. She spent her own money, after this woman murdered her elderly mother, burned her body, and went to the bank, stealing all of her "under the mattress" money, hidden in her apartment and valuables. Just to have detectives finally tell her they already had them. This poor woman lived with the anguish of thinking no one cared, no one was looking into it, for nothing. Shame on the police as well. The US would have very likely made her aware of this evidence, or at the very least, made it clear they were going to find this woman.

She isn’t even a citizen, and now taxes payers are paying for her settlement, on top of feeding and housing her for the next fifteen years! Honestly, I find that that's what happens when people live in societies that are extremely oppressive towards women. From a young age, they're taught that they're 'only a woman' and therefore incapable of doing most things.
