As a cameraman myself, I am really appreciating all of the great design ideas that are going into this new beast. 😎 Sadly, I also know what it feels like to have my 4WD broken into. In my case it was a brick through the window and the whole centre console with stereo was taken. That was a few years ago now but I have been very security conscious ever since. Hopefully karma will catch up with these idiots soon.
@andrewjones-productions2 жыл бұрын
Cameraman here too (Japan). I agree, there are a lot of great designs here that I too appreciate. Last September (2021), I bought a small enclosed cargo trailer to carry all the paraphernalia necessary for a commercial shoot and got tired of my car (Pajero) being all scratched up by c-stands etc. I also couldn't carry anyone else other than in the passenger seat. I have just bought a Discovery 5 which has more space than the Pajero in the back, but I still intend to use the trailer when there is a lot of equipment to carry. I wish the trailer was set-up like the back of this pickup/ute.
@Foolish_Paul_Australia2 жыл бұрын
@@andrewjones-productions You sound just like me Andrew. I have a dual cab ute and usually the back seat is where all my cameras go. For any big shoots, I also have a trailer. For smaller shoots, the stands etc usually fit in my canopy at the back. It's not a purpose built canopy like the 4WD 24/7 guys, though. 😊

I work in production for a living and I have seen a few cars/4 by fours that were set up for a camera crew but I’ve never seen one with this much attention to detail, function and workflow. It’s amazing. What was the total cost of the entire build? The 12 V system is Like a dream come true for a camera crew with all of the charging demands etc. I’m sure all the camera boys are going to feel like they’ve died and gone to heaven compared to what they were in before… they will be ruined after using this vehicle and any other vehicle they have to work out of will seem subpar for the rest of their careers😂😂😂😂
