I've found that miso and browned butter (beurre noisette) on pasta is one of my favorite rich pasta sauces now, lol. My husband isn't a fan of creamy pasta and doesn't really like cheese, but he loves miso, and miso combined with browned butter is like the best compromise I've ever made, lol (still needs a little water to get it to emulsify , but don't use the pasta water if you've salted it, the miso is salty enough, salted pasta water would make it too salty)

To retain the nutritive quality of the miso, if that's of interest, add it towards the end and do not let it boil.

Marion, I have a question for you. Do you think it is okay to use Miso in stroganoff. Cuz , I've been using it since I first learned making it . Anyways, it's not traditional , but I think it gives a nice umami flavor. BTW, love your recipes💜💜
@susangarland68692 жыл бұрын
If you like it, it's okay. I like to use a little soy sauce in stroganoff myself.
@Metoobie2 жыл бұрын
Who cares if it's not traditional? I say try it, if you end up liking it, you've just made your own dish!!! :D Trying new stuff is a huge part of cooking. Good luck, let us know!

It absolutely fascinates me how 'into' the whole cooking experience some people get. Unfortunately I have never tasted a dish that was worth the time and effort it took to make it. I wish it was otherwise. I'm trying to eat healthier and resenting the time I have to spend cooking. I'm exploring different techniques and ingredients to try to make things better. So far 😜 I love hot dogs no fuss no muse shove them in your mouth and go. Now that's a great meal.😄

How much butter and how much Miso did you mix together?
@MrJamesBond20112 жыл бұрын
At 14:35, I always find that when chefs use this butter technique in the scrambled eggs, I think it always looks under-done just on its runny appearance. I guess I'm just picky about how I like my eggs cooked, and scrambled isn't my favourite choice, but if my wife requests it to be cooked, then I'll always cook it for her. My favourite technique is always the soft-fried / basted in oil technique to have a nice fried egg with no crispy bottom, OR I will try and poach them and make an Egg's Benedict Royale with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce.
