I now totally forgive you for the lima bean episode! 😂 I am always looking for miso ideas because it comes in pretty sizable tubs but most recipes only call for very little. One of my faves is a recipe by Anna Jones, a U.K.-based cookbook author for tomato-miso soup. It is hard to find the recipe online. I think I first saw it on a "The Anna Edit" video. But don't think I've ever seen it actually typed out anywhere. Great combination of flavors, also including green onions, coriander, sesame seeds, honey ... worth hunting down. Thanks again for the ideas!

do you thinnk I can use almond milk in place of soy milk in the noodles recipe?
@howtomakedinner3 жыл бұрын
Good question! I haven’t tried it. It will probably depend on the almond milk and its fat content. If it’s too thin it might separate. Safest bet would be to ladle out a bit of the broth into a small bowl and add some almond milk to that... see what happens? If it stays nice and creamy you’re good! (Just make sure it’s unsweetened)

You're not supposed to add chunks of miso like that, you must break it down with some water/stock before adding it. Also, don't add it to a boiling dish. It kills all the healthy bacteria. You need to wait for the dish/soup etc to cool down a bit and then add the miso, that way it won't kill be healthy bacteria. You never boil miso.
