Fasting 16-20 hours, walking daily, and 3-4 strength training sessions a week works wonders! I’m 46 post menopause was lean before my menopause but then I started gaining weight so adding the fasting to keep my blood sugar stable was the magic element it was hard at first but I’d rather be hungry for a few hours and really enjoy nutritious meals when I break my fast than be uncomfortable with extra belly fat. Fasting also helps us to know what real hunger feels like it’s not a ticket to binge after we must be mindful and really listen, and know when to stop eating but it keeps hunger hormones in check. When we are fasting our body will turn to its favourite fule source first glycogen then fat and if we are incorporating weight baring exercise our body won’t burn away our muscles it’s only when we are in extreme calorie deficits and skip exercise that’s when we loose muscles it’s really not complicated ladies Thanks JJ 😊💐🙏

As someone who used a GLP1 (weight loss indicated) for a year successfully, I can wholeheartedly agree with your observations and recommendations. I deal with auto-immune issues that had more and more impact as I aged, and especially as I moved through menopause. I had to add cholesterol and an auto-immune arthritis medication in the last few years (on top of existing thyroid meds), but still struggled to control inflammatory hormones, despite having good muscle mass and working out regularly. (rowing, swimming, strength) I joked that I was a fat-lete because I could perform, but couldn't lose fat. I never struggled with hunger, but for me the GLP1s allowed me to get over that hurdle of being in a pro-inflammatory state. I went from 180 to 140 in a year, all while gaining 5% more lean mass. I actually eat more now than I did before the GLP1, which I theorize is supporting a healthier natural metabolism. I'm starting to decrease the GLP1 with the goal of eliminating it since I'm over the hurdle of the initial weight loss. That's also allowed me to eliminate the cholesterol med and halve the arthritis med. My most recent labs were what my doc called insanely good for someone with active auto-immune issues. Its been a game changer, mainly because I was willing to put in the work to improve muscle mass along the way.

She’s nice enough to take the time to explain this thoroughly and comprehensively, which a lot of other videos do not. So, instead of nitpicking about the background music, how about you start off with saying THANK YOU!
