when i try to sleep i just cant, ill be lay in bed in the dark with total silence, but the problem is no matter how long i do that thousands of thoughts, memories and other things keep me awake its like im having a loud conversation in my head with myself that is very hard to end, like "ok i need to stop thinking.... but remember when this happened, hahaha that was so funny..... wait, im getting of track here..... ok.. time to fall asleep......... now......... aargh this isnt working....... why cant i fall asleep?...... oh yeahh, i need to stop thinking about stuff............. maybe i should just stay up all night instead... yeah thats a good idea..... or maybe i should keep trying...... i dont know......... Wait NO!, i have to go to sleep..... remember....... (minutes of consciousness without any sign of sleeping)........ remember that song i like....... OH NO!....... now ive got it stuck playing in my mind........ ok i need to forget it....... (song keeps playing while other thoughts race)" and it goes on. anyone else get that or just me?

P5YCH0 KiLlAz Yes.!!!! I do that all the time too.!! Its like my eyes will be so so tired so I lay down and close my eyes and Boom.! I wake up when I close my eyes.! So then I open my eyes and they don't wanna open cause I'm so tired. So I close them and its like my mind wakes up and wants to talk and all these thoughts come in and its like my mind is talking to itself. Its crazy and scary at the same time cause all I want to do is Sleep.!!!!!! I am weaning myself off of ativan but its hard because I want to take one but don't wanna get hooked on more. I'm down to a quarter of a 2mg pill. This is nuts.!! I know I probably have adrenal issues and/or cortisol. But who's got the time to figure that out? I'm tired of researching all this.!

P5YCH0 KiLlAz I went on keto diet and after 2 months I started to have the same problem. I could not seem to find any fix to this. However I did read that you need some carbs in your diet to allow your body to produce sleep hormones. I was on a diet of about 30 grams of carbs per day. I started eating a fruit after each meal. I eat two meals a day. Like a apple or banana. This put me at about 100+ carbs pure day. Just like that! I sleep like a baby. It was like a switch turned on. I wish I had more of the details of what I read. But it was some time ago. Been on keto ever since. It’s done wonders for me and my family. The only hiccup was the sleep issue. Good luck.

Check out QRS dot com or call the # and speak with Dr. Vader. I have a QRS and it's been an amazing tool for me and my family as it does a lot of other positive things, too.

Holland Turner it depends on what your problem is , everyone has a different one. if ur not getting enough calcium I think calsium at night would be fine but if u have so much calcium in your system is probably not a good idea. I also have some bloating. If I get at least 4 hours of sleep (not even straight through) I can function on that. I have something that is causing me problems, Every night going to bed at some point im finding myself on the floor as if I'm violently being thrown off the bed. Happens 4 to 6 times. It also happens if I'm sitting up sleeping. - During the day, I'm often dropping off to sleep uncontrollable my head just shuts down. And during this process feels like theres a weight I'm carrying at the point I'm about to go off. If I'm holding something in my hand it's dropped and the noise from whatever I have dropped brings me back round. Any ideas on what I should ask my Dr on what this could be. - Also to add, With my bed I have added a noose strap which I attach to my arm to try to stop me from falling or being thrown. It's like my body must be jotlting or something I don't know, I eventually come back round and get back in bed and try to sleep as normal.

Also, taking selenium w/ it is very, very helpful- I would even say needed. And fyi, salt doesn't have enough iodine to help and it only stays in your salt for the first 6 weeks of shelf life.

I love Dr Berg and his supplements but the sleep aid doesn’t work for me, it actually causes me to stay awake even longer than usual. I wish I knew what it was in it that’s causing this problem

Me too while I have tried different sleeping supplements eg. melatonin & herbal capsules or natural remedies eg. dates & herbal powders or self acupressure... Nothing works for me. 😭 I feel so tired at the daytime everyday. 😭😭😭
