5 Great Lakes in 5 Days

Three friends take on an epic challenge to swim and paddle in all 5 Great Lakes in just 5 days. This road trip would take Bob, Joe, and Mike to some epics locations. The group visited 2 National Lakeshores, 1 National Park, 1 Provincial Park, and a Federally Protected Bird Sanctuary.
The trip started on Lake Ontario in Scarborough, ON at Bluffer's Beach. The guys traveled to Southamton, ON where the group would kayak around Chantry Island on Lake Huron. They would take a side trip to Lion's Head Provincial Park to hike Lion's Head Lookout over Georgian Bay. After a trip on the MS Chi Cheemaun in Tobermory, the guys would travel to back to the States to Munising, MI where they would visit Sand Point Beach on Lake Superior and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. From there, they would travel to Glen Arbor, MI to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and Lake Michigan. Their final lake was Lake Erie at Pelee Point National Park.

Very Nice! I like how you’ll did that. I love the Great Lakes as well. Last year I was at Presque Isle(Lake Erie) in PA. Two years ago, I went to both Michigan Peninsulas and crossed the Mackinac Bridge. I hiked on segments of the North Country NST. I swam in Lake Michigan, and I was hiking on Lake Huron. I also visited a lighthouse on Whitefish Bay/Lake Superior. Good Stuff!

Yes, absolutely. The guided trips were going through it with tandem sea kayaks.

You change my mind about greats lakes : till now it was for me a frogyy cold dark water polluted by megapolis and the largest manufacturing zone in the world ... no reason to envy Florida and Keys Beachs !

The Great Lakes are beautiful, they have come a long way since industrialization. The Niagara Escarpment is some of the most dramatic scenery I have experienced. See you outside!
