#1 - Focus on your Best 1:31 Learn leverage Do only what you're good at Outsource everything else . #2 - Buy back your Time 9:05 Ryan doesn't spend time looking for food He has food delivered each day Also only eats between 12-6pm Also doesn't take lunch breaks Eats on the go. . #3 - Don't prioritize your schedule. Schedule your priorities. 11:05 Make sure to schedule things that are important to you. Don't just be busy. . #4 - Mitigate your Distractions 12:18 He has no games on his phone The time spent with distractions is time you can't spend being productive . #5 - Maximize your commute 13:14 If possible, be as productive as possible during the commute. He does more prep and conversations on the way to meetings. He does work and strategizes on the way back. If you don't have a driver, you can study or listen to audio books on drives.

I had to take an inventory of my work life and schedule, I have been on this schedule of working 14 to 16 hours a day and found myself operating below the line the last few months. I had fallen in the age old habit of swimming only in my fishbowl thus I was not operating above the line. I am responsible for over 100 teammates and I was failing them because I was caught up doing the work I was focused on instead of working on the work I should have been doing. Thankfully I still keep the practice of having a mentor, who momentarily pulls me away from the trees so I can see the forest! These points that Ryan consistently talks about are truly the keys to success and are the path of consistently working above the line!

1. Only focus on the highest quality problems (Work Smarter, not harder) 2. buy back your time (don't spent time doing wasteful stuff - ex: Eating food) 3. Schedule your priorities (Don't be busy just to work, but make priorities to get you actually one step closer to your goal) 4. Mitigate/limit distractions (hours go by just by what you might think takes 5 mins.) 5. maximize your commute. Bonus - wake up In mornings (4:00am - 6:00am) to scratch your day -

1. Do what you are best at. Solve the most important thing. Focus on your problem. Everything else is managed by other people. Use the leverage of others. Let them do the parts they are good at. 2. Buy back your time. 3. Don't prioritize your schedule. Schedule your priorities. 4. Mitigate your distractions. 5. Maximize commute.

Meals are not interruptions to your day. Eating consciously is AS IMPORTANT as what you put into your body. You’re not “wasting an hour of your day” when you eat lunch. Much the same way you don’t waste time when you have to gas up your car. And if you don’t STOP at a gas station your car will eventually stall. America has one of the highest obesity rates in the developed world for this very reason! So yes, closing deals and becoming a millionaire is very important, until your health and well being are compromised. You’re young, beautiful, charming and money hungry. Not sure skipping lunch (meal time) is much of a “life hack”, AT ALL, though. .
