I have the Acura TSX here in the States and this is pretty spot on. Looks great, sounds great, handles well. Thankfully though, it is quite nice on the inside since Acura is Honda's premium brand. But the other part of me also knows that adds a lot of weight and sometimes I yearn for the simple things. Can't have it all! At the end of the day, going with the manual is the right choice. Everything else is whatever.

Recently got a 2006 Accord coupe 2.4l 5 spd manual.. Such an amazing car!! The power of the 4 cylinder is quite something, .. not too much, not too little. I have the EX-L model, heated leather seats, 6 disc changer, tape deck (lol), sunroof, electric seats. Here's what I don't like, the dual climate system. I wish they just left it alone over the years with manual knobs. Almost everything else is traditional. That's about it for now.. with 155k miles I do believe the AC compressor is a bit weak and will need replacing. The clutch feels mostly great, with the exception of gear 5 needing a little extra love to shift into, gets a slight grind occasionally.

much love from Pakistan! i am a cl9 jdm 5AT owner. also using Serge's reflash. Couldnt agree more. The factory tune is too conservative and the reflashes totally open things up. Although I do feel the tune should be done on a dyno with each car having different wear and tear and performance.

Hi mate ! I'm from Bulgaria and i don't speak english so well. Your videos are awesome. I'm Honda fan since i bought my CL9 and i find it very interesting car. Yes , it's simplified by reasons, as i should say my type-s is... There are not any extras like other cars in that segment but it has outsanding performance for a family sedan . After reflash it feels like a total different car , and it is obviously more fun to drive .The best upgrades i think everyone should get are reflash and exhaust manifold. Enjoy thia cara fellas !

Imo nearly perfect daily car. Worst thing is the narrow spaces between the seats and centre console. Ya drop anything especially phone in there and it hurts to retrieve it. Or ya prone with the rear door open trying to extract it from under the front seats. Also can hurt ya hand. If your a larger sized person. Also applies a bit to mechanical stuff under the hood. No spare space. But compactness makes up for it. Just stuff a hoodie or whatever into the seat gaps and it will stop falling and stuck items. Peace. Legend.

I personally disagree with your 5th dislike. I got a 6th gen accord usdm (CG5) and would kill for a CLx. They never came to my country (Argentina) because here Honda only sell usdm and emerging markets models and the usdm CLx was only sold by Acura and Honda never bring here his luxury brand. So, ok, most people won't turn his heads for an Accord CLx, but there are some people (2 or 3) that think that they are incredibly beautiful cars! Ps: sorry about my english, i speak spanish Ps2: congrats for your Accord

Yeah, I guess it depends where you're from. I'm sure there will be people who appreciate a CL9 over here, but most car enthusiasts in NZ are into evos, wrx's, chasers, Supra, skylines, silvia's, civic's. Even a stock Euro R would draw more attention than a CL9 frankly

I've been in love with the CL9 exterior since high school and always preferred it over the CU2. The CU2 is ok but the front has the weird bird beak thing going on, the back end is a step backwards imo, and it's over 120lbs heavier. The CL9 is already heavy, I didn't want to get something heavier. This is why I picked the CL9.

Nice video 👍🏼 I really like your channel. I wanted to ask, how do you get a bike into your trunk ? 🤔 I also drive a CL 9 Accord in manual, but it comes with Auto light, electric seats, heated seats, electric sunroof, Auto wipers, Xenon lights, premium sound system. I got the normal seats, but you can also find it also with leather seats. It is the Executive line trim, maybe it was only available in Europe 🤷🏻‍♂️ And the problem with the oil consumption: A year ago I also needed to fill up the oil, but since I start the car, let it sit for at least 2 min and then drive it gentle for the first 10 min, there is no oil consumption what so ever.
@KiwiCarLife
@KiwiCarLife 3 жыл бұрын
Cheers man, I just take the front wheel off my bike and it fits in no problem with the seats down. And yeah we only got two trims here, the S (same spec as mine) and the L (which has all the leather, auto lights/wipers, HID's sunroof etc.). From there you could add the sport kit, or the mugen kit to either of these models. However we could only get them with the S spec in manual. L models only came in auto. So the total specs you could have were the, Euro S Auto/Manual, Euro S Sport Auto/Manual, Euro S Mugen Auto/Manual, Euro L Auto, Euro L Sport Auto, Euro L Mugen Auto. Hope this makes sense

Interesting about oil consumption. Going to try that. Was used to pushing the car a lot... because it is not slow. Not for me. Love raking the people with there bmw's. Found that with the flappy paddles, gearing back before take off against another car... puts you right into the VTEC spot... and BAM. Feeling ashamed though. 44 years old, and still love speed and racing. Still a kid at heart.
