Follow along with the video above. This beginner ab workout is structured like this:
✔️ 5 Beginner Ab Exercises
✔️ Timed Intervals (40 seconds of work per exercise followed by 20 seconds of rest)

GREAT BURNER!! I added this one onto a 30 min jump rope cardio workout!! Perfect addition 🙌🏽🤩. Btw, I would love to see a jump rope workout from you guys!! It’s such a good different type of cardio and I do it at least one a week! ( if you don’t have a jump rope, you can use sweat towels, cordless ropes, or even socks, or nothing!). I think it would be a great sweaty workout! Thank you SO MUCH 💓

For the modified side planks - once I lift my hip off of the floor - I can't unstick my top leg from the bottom. Is there something that I should be doing differently - or will this come in time? Also, I felt everything in my hips - is that normal? Thanks for the amazing workouts that you offer!

Hi! The side plank taps into small stabilizing muscles that don't get worked very often, so it's a tough one! I'd recommend adding an incline (place your arm on a bench) to help! It sounds like your hips might be taking over the core work - I might try this one also! kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2XdaKZ4nqx5d5o

You want to avoid any exercise that causes coning or doming so if you can do these great and if not stick with the DR recovery video until you can!!

Hello! Amazing workout! However, I find that during the first 2 exercises, if I don't raise my head off the mat, I feel a discomfort/light pain in my upper back, right between the scapulae. What does this mean and how can I make it go away? Is it linked to the insufficient bracing of the core? Thank you!

YES, I suggest starting with these 8 DR exercises -- kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2eVd3-ogbKNjas but this is a great workout to progress to! And all safe as long as you don't see any doming or coning during the exercises!

@@nourishmovelove yes i do it 4 days, the workout is awesome. I can fell mu core.I have very big stomach, it look like i'm be soon on labor. Had 2 cesarian, last was 1.5 years ago. I'm satisfy with my 53kg right now(164cm tall), but i don't have flat stomach :/. Hope with workout for DR it's gonna be gone forever :). I didn't know how to measure, i was consulting with doctor who tell me that i have DR, but he didn't tell me how deep it is. I do lots of exercises but my stomach didn't go away.Than i discover that i have DR.I'm glad that i found your channel ! Thank you for your answer.

Would I be able to do these with hip and knee issues? I’ve had the hip pains since my first pregnancy and they’ve got worse since my second because I had PGP and I’ve had knee pains ever since I can remember but i struggle to find exercises that won’t make them worse. Do you have any advice? (I’m currently 12 month pp as well)

You can certainly give this one a try! If you are feeling any of the exercises in your hip flexors, you'll want to pull back and modify as your hips might be taking over the work form your abs. Is this safe for 11 weeks? I have absolutely no abs and am not sure where to start. I’m definitely a beginner. 4th baby, I’ve had coning and doming any time I go to sit up for probably 18 years since my first baby, even when I haven’t been pregnant.

Hi!! I always recommend chatting with your doctor or midwife about your specific pregnancy - each body is so different! In general, you can continue performing exercises you were doing pre-pregnancy throughout the first trimester. You can place your hands on a bench or countertop to reduce the intensity of planks if that's not feeling good! These are great and all but I wouldn’t label these beginner workouts. Maybe if you are already in shape, but an older, overweight person would have no chance doing most of these moves.
