I'm originally from the US Virgin Islands now living in the states. I visited Belize earlier this year. I've always been amazed at the fact that their Creol accent sounds just like us Virgin Islanders. I stayed on Orange walk but, unfortunately I didn't do much because I wasn't expecting the taxis to be so expensive to get around 😮‍💨. I plan to visit again but definitely staying closer to the city.

I just found Will's channel and i'm pleasantly surprised that he provides good quality information and not just pushing the Remax properties and services. I think if you are going to buy property you should do it through a big name like Remax but there's nothing worse than learning all this information that in this video AFTER you move and it's too late to make any changes.

Great video as always! I have been to Belize more than a few times and have been enamored (in love with her; that is for the Texans who may read this) since the first time the airplane lowered its landing gear. i recently decided that i did, in fact, want to research retiring to the cayes but the financial requirement of acquiring citizenship was beyond my reach. No problem affording to actually live there, and buy property, and contribute to Belizean society but; the guaranteed or government check requirements (oversimplified for brevity sake) were quite daunting. Hey Debra, depending on the area you choose there are opportunities to get fiber optic internet within Belize so no worries there. To check speeds search for digi belize and you will get a full overview of that

I have tattoos, long half dreaded hair, but some high end clothing, but if you dont know what your looking at, it looks like stuff from a walmart lol. SO, Im unsure. I lived in big cites, I lived on 6 acres in the country. I think I just want to find a nice house, on a few acres down there and just relax. TOO much go go go go go... its crazy.

I would say mechanics are needed all around the country so there is a lot of opportunities there. Overall though I think your best bet would probably be San Pedro

Be very careful on number 1. From my experience getting your money from my credit union in the U.S. to Belize was the reason I didn't move to Belize. I wanted to do everything as legit as possible and couldn't.
