Outstanding instructional video! If you could change one thing I would reccomend "step up" drilling. That is, start with a smaller drill size and work your way up. Those large drills tend to want to "walk" off center.

You should get a Multimaster or similar oscillating blade saw for that plunge cutting! So much easier than a drill/jigsaw combo! You'll love it.

If you have already laminated the wood, and are cutting out the holes for the handles and latches, should the laminated side be on the top or the bottom when cutting holes? In the video it appears that you demonstrated cutting the hole for the handle on a non-laminated piece of wood.

Where can I find Cut Out size information of latches and handles you guys sell... For instance how would i know the latch cut out dimensions when using tongue and grove ect. This is the only thing Im missing... Great stuff

The expectation is that the laminate is on the bottom side or the top side of the cutting?

As I understand the previous answer, when cutting, the ABS is on top, against the saw. This makes it much more difficult to mark since a pencil will be difficult to see on the laminate and you should avoid marking all the way across since this potentially mark the ABS in a way that can not be removed. Also, the saw's footplate is likely to scratch the ABS. Suggestions? Shouldn't your demo video show the actual process to keep thing clearer?

I can't see any logical reason why it can't be done on the reverse (bare wood) side - if the glue that is holding the laminate is dry, the jigsaw should just slice straight through the laminate with no issues. I could be wrong......

Always laminate to the smooth side. If you intended to say "size" we used 3/8" for this series of DIY Road Case videos.

What is the brand of your latch ? in penn elcom latches , there is nothing to put it over the extruded aluminium rail ... it's totally flat !

Penn Elcom do have the latches which "go over the aluminium rail". It's called "offset". Such as L907. Look closer!
