I do all these things thanks to you, they’re all great although I have one cup of coffee a day but of all of them walking in nature possibly saved my life and definitely saved my sanity, allowing the environment to wash over me by listening to the birds, the rain, the wind and the smell of the earth is so simple but so amazing, best drug free medicine for so much of life’s problems both health related and otherwise.

Thanks Dr. Story, I am drinking a cup of hibiscus tea while I am watching your video. In his book, The Comfort Crisis, Michael Easter describes a concept in Japan called shirrin-yoku which means "forest bathing". It is a program the Japanese use to promote sitting or walking in the woods. The Japanese have found that people who spent 15 minutes sitting in and then walking through nature experience drops in blood pressure. After two hours in the woods people with high levels of stress felt a significant drop in anxiety and depression

After a heart attack 6 years ago I switched to Maxwell House half Caff. It tastes like regular coffee but with only half the caffeine. That was my compromise because at 74 yo I just can’t (don’t want to) give up coffee completely.

Two drops of essential oil of ginger three times a day works really well for me. It is a calcium inhibitor. It doesn't cure you, but does not not have side effects. It is also good for other aspects of your health .

number four, I do find difficult. I have dropped sodas, but have coffee and milk once each morning in the first hour. It helps me charge. Is even that (one coffee per day, and no other bad drinks) a no no? PS. I walk an average of 60,000 steps per week acc to pedometer, that is over an hour per day average)

@@ceciliabelgica2023 I might have ADD but I don't have a messy/chaotic house and I do deep breathing etc to destress. Thinking it's just genetics at this point.

Thank you, Dr. Great tips. I was just curious if you ever see this when you drink beetroot juice or eat beets even how soon is the effect of it kicking in and how long does it last? Thank you again.
