Nein, ganz sicher nicht! Ich habe eine ziemlich krasse Allergie. Wir sind schon vor Jahren von einem Kater adoptiert worden. Stammt von einer Katzenhorderin aus der Straße. Dort war es Rudi wohl zu eng. Er hat vor der Haustür ein - Hasenhäuschen. Grins.. Und wird von uns mit Futter versorgt. Ist es kalt bekommt er eine Wärmplatte hinein. Manchmal schläft er denn auch im Windfang. Jaja, der Rudi.. Manchmal begleitet er Meinfrau auch, wenn sie mit Hund gassigeht.

Guten Morgen! :) Stimmt, das Video ist etwas kürzer und ich denke, so bei diesem Rahmen wird es auch bleiben. Ich hatte das Gefühl, die vorigen Videos waren einfach zu lang und ausgedehnt, viele Zuschauer haben nach einem Bruchteil der Zeit abgeschaltet. Deshalb wird es vermutlich kürzer und knackiger weitergehen, dafür gibt's regelmäßige Uploads und ab und zu vielleicht auch mal ein Video mit einem ganz neuen Thema. Ideen und Feedback sind erwünscht! :)

"Es kommt nicht in die Tüte" klingt wie "Miễn bàn" auf Vietnamesisch, aber weil sich "Bàn" genau wie das Wort "Table" anhört, sagt man in Vietnam "No table".

Some expressions in German dialects can also be quite entertaining, even to German ears. The Bavarian "Jetzt wird's aber hint' höher wie vorn" ("now it's getting higher in the back than in the front"), is a prime example of that :P

@@nobodysgirl7972 Sorry for my horrible spelling of the German, it is supposed to mean: "Where is the train station"! 😁 My father tried to learn German when he was at university, because it used to be the primary language for scientific papers back then, just as French was the language used for diplomacy. He was obviously learning from a tourist's language book I'm afraid! Have a great day!

@@nobodysgirl7972 When i traveled in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland many years ago with a tourist bus tour, one of our other tourists who was from Australia was a native born Austrian who of course spoke fluent German. He was able to translate for us and enabled us to talk to many people we met, that otherwise we'd never have been able to talk to. Best part of the trip are those memories of all the people we met, but had no language in common with!

In Czech we say ,,mir nichts, dir nichts" also. It's bastardised into ,,mír nix, týr nix" and has similar meaning. My mother used to tell me this when I was little and did something wrong, quick, without much though. I had no idea until now that it actually originates from a similar german phrase.

Katzen stammen in direkter Linie von Ludwig dem 14 ab. Oder anders ausgedrückt, Katzenhaushalte sind die letzten verbliebenen totalen Monarchien. Dennoch liebe ich die kleinen sehr. Sie haben einen eigenen Willen und sie kommen nur zu dir wenn Sie es wollen. Und dies macht ihre Zuneigung echt!

Ich weiß aber nicht, was von was abgeleitet wurde. Mit dem Hagel (der ja ein zerstörerisches Ereignis sein kann) ergibt die Redensart für mich noch mehr Sinn.

I never heard the phrase "Ich glaub, es hackt!" (with a short a). However, I'm used to the phrase "Ich glaub, es hakt!" (with a long a). This might be originated in the thought that something got hooked or jammed ("verhakt") in someone's brain.

I'm quite sure it derives from "einen an der Hacke haben" (to have one - or better something - at the heel), meaning being nuts. Maybe originally insinuating not to think with the head but with the opposite body part, the heel, which must be faulty. Not sure about that.
